Cristo Leon, director of research for the College of Science and Liberal Arts at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of scientific research.

Mr. Leon leverages over two decades of experience as a proven expert in scientific academia. Specializing in facilitating collaboration for scientific research, he has operated as the director of research at the College of Science and Liberal Arts of the New Jersey Institute of Technology since 2015. Likewise, since 2011, he has worked with Tecnológico de Monterrey in his native home of Mexico as a global facilitator, coach, mentor, and trainer for C-Suite and executives. Adjacent to his primary duties, he has also worked with the Long Branch Public Schools District as an advisory board stakeholder since 2018. Since beginning his career in 1999, Mr. Leon has worked with numerous academic and professional institutions in North, Central, and Sud America, including the Secretaría de Educación Pública, the Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, and the Universidad Veracruzana.

As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Leon pursued a formal education, most recently earning a Master of Business Administration in e-commerce, summa cum laude, at Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2015. In his ongoing academic endeavors, he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in institutional management and innovation with a specialization in international business at the Instituto de Estudios Universitarios. In addition to his academic credentials, he also holds several pertinent certifications in project and research administration, social and behavioral research, and business strategy. Well-regarded for his scholarly output and civic-minded attitude as well, Mr. Leon has authored several articles and book chapters pertaining to his work in the field in recent years, and he continues to participate as a mentor with Asociación EXATEC Quito since 2014. To commemorate his achievements, he was recently honored as EXATEC “Generation Leader” of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, being the first graduate of the Virtual University to receive said recognition in the institution’s history. Finally, in 2023, he collaborated on a book entitled “Reflections on Communication, Collaboration, and Convergence: Strategic Models for STEM Education and Research.”
