Andrew Wayne Boike, MA, ATP, First Officer of Alaska Airlines Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in flight operations.
Mr. Boike has found success since 2023 as a first officer for Alaska Airlines Inc. In this role, he acts as the second-in-command for each flight he operates. Prior to working for Alaska Airlines, he was a first officer for Horizon Air from 2021 to 2022 and a certified flight instructor from 2017 to 2021. Mr. Boike garnered experience as a first officer with Compass Airlines from 2018 to 2020 and a captain with Ameriflight from 2017 to 2018. He began his career in aviation as a staff analyst with Boeing from 2007 to 2017. Between 1998 and 2007, Mr. Boike held the roles of an annual fund coordinator for The Museum of Flight, an instructor for the Eaton English Institute, a finance manager for Alex Alben for Congress and an intern for Adam Smith for Congress.
In preparation for his professional pursuits, Mr. Boike earned a Bachelor of Arts in international studies before matriculating at the University of Washington. In 2021, he graduated with a Master of Arts in international studies. Eminently qualified, he is a certificated flight instructor and a certified airport transport pilot through the Federal Aviation Administration, among numerous further credentials. To keep abreast of his field, Mr. Boike maintains affiliation with the Experimental Aircraft Association, the National Gay Pilots Association and Women in Aviation International. In his spare time, he enjoys flying for fun, traveling to historical sites, and reading technical and academic writings.
