Dr. Draines is an accomplished security professional with more than 15 years of professional experience to her credit. Since 2017, she has excelled as the chief executive officer and founder of Elite Strategy Global in Washington, D.C., a top-tier security and risk management solutions company. Alongside this role, she has shared her expertise as an executive security adviser since 2017, before which she was a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service’s Presidential Protective Division from 2013 to 2017. From 2012 to 2013, Dr. Draines was a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service’s Dignitary Protective Division. She began her work with the esteemed agency as a field agent in 2004.
In preparation for her career, Dr. Draines attended La Salle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice and women’s studies in 1997. She earned a police academy diploma from the Hartford Police Department in 1998 and graduated from the University of New Haven with a Master of Science in forensic science in 2003. In 2021, Dr. Draines obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in business administration with a specialization in homeland security leadership and policy from Northcentral University. For her professional excellence, she received the Joseph R. Biden Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award in 2023 and was named to Inc. Magazine’s Female Founders 100 in 2022. In her spare time, Dr. Draines enjoys food, dancing and musicals.
