With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Dunn has excelled since 2023 as the assistant vice president of corporate compliance at Westchester Medical Center. Alongside this role, he has shared his expertise as an adjunct instructor of health information management at Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Connecticut, since 2016. Beginning in 2015, Mr. Dunn has also contributed his knowledge as an adjunct professor of health information management at Manchester Community College in Manchester, Connecticut. From 2020 to 2022, he was a privacy officer and director of health information management at Holyoke Medical Center, and in 2022, he worked as a senior compliance officer with Nuvance Health in Danbury, Connecticut.

Mr. Dunn has garnered decades of professional experience in his field prior to accepting his current roles. After working as a phlebotomist and admitting registrar, he worked for Montefiore Medical Center as a senior billing clerk and special projects analyst from 2002 to 2004. From 2006 to 2007, he was an assistant operations director for Smart Document Solutions LLC, and from 2007 to 2011, he was a senior manager of discharge analysis, record completion and legal certificates at Montefiore Medical Center. From 2011 to 2012, Mr. Dunn served as a senior manager of files, circulation and release of information with Yale New Haven Health, and from 2012 to 2016, he was both a privacy officer and director of health information management with the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Dunn graduated from Stony Brook University, part of the State University of New York system, with a Bachelor of Arts in multidisciplinary studies in 1997. In 2004, he obtained a Master of Science in health care administration at Iona University, and in 2010, he completed post-baccalaureate coursework in health information administration at the University of Toledo. Alongside his formal degrees, Mr. Dunn became a Registered Health Information Administrator in 2012.

To keep abreast of his field, Mr. Dunn has maintained affiliation with the American Health Information Management Association, the Connecticut Health Information Management Association and the Health Care Compliance Association, among other organizations. In the future, he plans to pursue a doctorate degree after securing his certification in health care privacy compliance. Mr. Dunn enjoys exercising, walking, listening to music, reading and spending time with his children in his spare time.
