He initiated his involvement with the same as physician integration specialist from 2013 to 2015, physician integration coordinator in 2015, strategic projects manager from 2015 to 2017, and director of physical contracting from 2017 to 2021. He began his career as a certified sterile processing and distribution technician at CHI St. Joseph Health from 2005 to 2007 before establishing himself as an independent certified sterile processing and distribution technician from 2008 to 2013. Concurrently, he was appointed to the role of endoscopic specialist at Stryker from 2010 to 2013. At the American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals, he has found success as a taskforce member since 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Heet pursued an education at the University of Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing in 2009. He continued his academic efforts at Central Baptist Hospital, completing the evolving leaders program in 2010. He concluded his studies at Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating with a Master of Business Administration/Master of Health Administration in health administration in 2011. He was an Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment fellow and holds certifications as a sterile processing and distribution technician.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Heet has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He was an advisory council member of the American Association of Provider Compensation Professionals, a board member of the United Way of Kentucky, and an ambassador of the Lexington Habitat for Humanity. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career and was selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in America.
