From 1993 to 1999, he worked at CR&R Inc. as a recycling manager, focusing on environmental sustainability and resource management. He then moved into government relations, working as a government relations manager at Hunsaker & Associates from 2000 to 2005. At McDonald’s USA, LLC, he served as an area construction manager from 2005 to 2007, overseeing construction projects and ensuring operational efficiency.

Later roles included national account manager at SignResource from 2013 to 2015, positions in franchise development at CKE Restaurants, Inc. from 2006 to 2016, and Dunkin’ Brands from 2016 to 2018. Since 2018, he has been with Dutch Bros Coffee, initially as senior director of construction and currently as vice president of design and construction, leading the company’s expansion efforts. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated his ability to adapt to diverse challenges and deliver results.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Batty is deeply engaged in civic and community initiatives, serving in leadership capacities for various organizations such as the City of Dana Point, Joy To Childhood, and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce. A prolific writer and industry thought leader, he is poised to release his upcoming book, “No Ego Policy,” which delves into the intricacies of company culture and leadership. Looking ahead, he remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence and growth, aspiring to fulfill Dutch Bros Coffee’s ambitious goal of building 4,000 locations while nurturing the next generation of industry leaders.
