Throughout her career, Ms. Clemons has held various roles within the Clayton County Board of Commissioners and Clayton County Government. She began her journey in 2006 as a traffic deputy court clerk in the State Court clerk’s office and steadily advanced to roles such as civil deputy court clerk, criminal deputy court clerk, and dispossessory deputy court clerk from 2008 to 2014. Subsequently, she served as a legal secretary in 2014 and then as an accusation specialist from 2014 to 2017 in the Solicitor General’s Office. From 2017 to 2020, she worked as a legal assistant and later as a senior legal assistant from 2019 to 2021 in the same office. Transitioning to the District Attorney’s office, she served as an intake legal assistant in 2021 and a courtroom legal assistant from 2021 to 2022. In 2022, she assumed the role of deputy court clerk supervisor in the Superior Court clerk’s office before being appointed chief deputy clerk for the Superior Court that same year.
Ms. Clemons attributes her success to the unwavering support of her parents, who instilled in her a strong work ethic and resilience. Beyond her professional endeavors, she actively engages in civic activities, serving as a church musician and pianist, and contributing to charitable initiatives within her community. Additionally, she has been recognized for her achievements, notably being featured on the front page of the Clayton News Daily in 2024.
