Mr. Livingston has carved a distinguished career in the financial services industry, currently serving as the treasured and trusted chief executive officer at Nor-Cal FDC. However, his journey to success began at Wells Fargo and other prestigious institutions. Beginning in 1995, and onward to the mid-2010s, Mr. Livingston honed his skills and expertise through various significant roles at Wells Fargo. From 2009 to 2011, he served as a director of learning and development under the International group, having previously fulfilled responsibilities as the senior vice president, and chief strategist for the Commercial Banking group. His tenure at Wells Fargo also included roles as vice president, manager of emerging strategies, and vice president of commercial marketing and strategic planning. During his time at Wells Fargo, he was honored with the 2003 Pioneer Award. Mr. Livingston’s career foundation was built upon his early experiences as a senior property and casualty underwriter at Aetna Life and Casualty, and a financial analyst at Travelers Insurance Co.

Mr. Livingston’s journey at Nor-Cal FDC began in 2013 when he took on the role of senior director of program development, a position that allowed him to lay the groundwork for his future achievements within the company. From 2016 to 2017, he demonstrated his leadership and strategic acumen, as the chief operating officer of the same organization.

On his resume, Mr. Livingston lists several accomplishments. One of the most significant is leading a team that recovered $80 million for Wells Fargo, an impressive achievement that foreshadowed the remarkable accomplishments he would make at Nor-Cal FDC. He fondly recalls working closely with a team to increase the company’s loan guarantees from $12 million to over $100 million.

Mr. Livingston attributes much of his success to his networking abilities, persistence, and formal education. His colleagues –past and present– describe him as a creative and passionate visionary with an energy that will empty your tank but refurbish your soul. Maritime Association Board Member George Fleharty once stated he wished he had 100 board members just like Mr. Livingston.

Born and raised in the inner city of Trenton, New Jersey, Mr. Livingston’s early understanding of finances was that of survival. In 1980, he received the A Better Chance scholarship which allowed him to attend Amherst High School, kicking off his journey into higher education. At Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics, his mindset around money changed to that of thriving over simply surviving. After attaining his undergraduate degree, Mr. Livingston secured a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Southern California, where he was a Presidential Fellow. These academic credentials have provided him with a solid foundation in finance and economics, enabling him to navigate complex financial landscapes more effectively and help redefine wealth for the future generations of his family.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Livingston is dedicated to personal growth, family life, and community. While at Wells Fargo, he acted as a San Francisco Maritime National Park Association trustee, where he aided in getting lower income children to participate in San Francisco’s treasured Age of Sail program. He is also a 25-year member of the Life Steps Foundation, currently serving as its treasurer. During his time at Nor-Cal, Mr. Livingston’s heart for community beats on with approximately $20,000 in scholarships and school supplies raised to help local students over the past three years.

Mr. Livingston is a father to three children and enjoys playing the piano, reading, and listening to audiobooks in his leisure time. Looking ahead, he aims to expand the innovative concepts developed at Nor-Cal FDC across California, further contributing to the economic development and financial empowerment of communities throughout the state. Additionally, he is an active member of Omega Psi Phi, an affiliation that reflects his commitment to community service and professional development.
