Prior to these positions, he had an impressive tenure at Secova, beginning as a co-founder in 2004 and serving as vice president of strategy and business processes until 2012. He also served as senior vice president from 2016 to 2019. He and his partners grew Secova from just four to around 400 employees and approximately $20 million in sales, having managed the company until 2019, when they sold it.

From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Parke was the acting director of human resources in South Gate, California, and a recruitment and HR special projects consultant with an executive recruiting company. His extensive career began at Hughes Aircraft Company, where he served as vice president of human resources from 1972 to 2000.

Mr. Parke’s educational background serves as a solid foundation for his career path. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from the University of Houston in 1968, followed by an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the USC Marshall School of Business in 1974. Additionally, he completed the Executive Management Program in Business Administration and Management at UCLA in 1985. These credentials have provided a solid foundation for his extensive career in human resources and organizational leadership.

Mr. Parke’s distinguished military career includes service as a Second Lieutenant, Field Artillery Officer, Helicopter Pilot, and Captain in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1972. His achievements are marked by numerous awards, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, 37 Combat Air Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, the Bronze Star, and various service medals. Additionally, he has been honored by Marquis Who’s Who for his exemplary service and professional accomplishments.

Mr. Parke has been actively involved in numerous professional and community organizations. He served as a Board Member for Friends of Libraries from 2010 to 2018 and is currently a Board Member for the Daedalians, Children’s Dental Center, Junior Achievement of Southern California, Hughes Retiree Association, and the Palos Verdes Golf Club. His commitment to these organizations underscores his dedication to community service and professional excellence.

Mr. Parke attributes his success to his education, hard work, and strong work ethic. He chose a career in human resources because he found the interaction between the company and its employees to be the most interesting aspect of business. Throughout his career, the highlight that stands out the most is his ability to develop solutions for issues impacting individuals at all organizational levels, from electronic assemblers to PhDs. He takes great pride in his skill at facilitating discussions and finding common ground on matters that affect people’s work within the organization.
