He is also the founder of the Graduate Organization of Information Systems and has contributed as a volunteer member of the Operational Budget Review Committee since 2023 and the Indian Origin Network of Howard County since 2018. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was honored with an Asian American Hotel Owners Association Award and recognition from the Choice Hotels Owners Council.
Mr. Vyas laid a solid educational foundation for his successes with coursework at Stevens Institute of Technology and holds an LLB from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara, India. He earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, a Master of Business Administration in information systems from Hofstra University, and a Master of Science in management information systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Additionally, he is a Certified Hotel Administrator and takes great pride in turning around several hotels within the Sunset portfolio, notably the Holiday Inn in Pennsylvania and the Holiday Inn Express in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Revenues, initially down by 27%, eventually surpassed their goals and consistently met budgets year over year. He attributes his success to his dedication, which is driven by his passion for coaching, consulting, teaching, and mentoring. In the coming years, he aims to transition into not-for-profit work, leveraging the skills he has acquired throughout his career to make a meaningful impact. He plans to establish an organization dedicated to guiding, coaching, and mentoring children from underprivileged or semi-privileged backgrounds who aspire to pursue higher education.
