With a decade of experience to his credit, Mr. Andrasz has built a successful career in finance, specializing in financial management, cost estimating, marketing, and military operations. He currently excels as a subject matter expert in finance at Bering Straits Native Corporation, a position he has held since 2014. His experience includes consultant at Morgan Borszcz Consulting from 2013 to 2014, a third-level associate at Booz Allen Hamilton from 2009 to 2012, and chief of the economics branch for the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Cost and Economics in the United States Air Force from 2006 to 2008. He was also squadron commander and comptroller, as well as financial manager, for Eielson Air Force Base from 2004 to 2006, and chief of the accounting operations branch from 2003 to 2004. 

Mr. Andrasz also served for three months as chief of resource management at Karshi Kanabad in Uzbekistan for Combined Joint Task Force 180 in 2002, was chief of the base support and integration section from 2001 to 2002, and flight commander from 1999 to 2000. He worked as a weapon system cost analyst from 1997 to 1999, chief of the budget analysis and control section from 1993 to 1996, and cost analysis staff officer from 1990 to 1993. He began his career as chief of the cost branch at the 633rd Comptroller Squadron from 1989 to 1990 and deputy chief of the cost branch at the 42nd Comptroller Squadron from 1986 to 1989. He has also contributed to the field with a published article on support agreements for the USAF Comptroller Magazine in 2004 and is the author of “Initial Guidance on Business Case Analysis.” He holds membership with the Association of Government Accountants, the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association, and has served as vice president and contract personnel at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with the American Society of Military Comptrollers, and is a member of the Midwestern Shooting Center, a staff member of the North Pole Alaska School Board, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

In recognition of his impressive achievements, Mr. Andrasz has been honored with the Elmer Staats Federal Leadership Award from the Association of Government Accountants in 2006, Best Comptroller Squadron in Pacific Air Forces in 2004, and Outstanding Contributor to Financial Management and Comptroller for Pacific Air Forces in 2003. Additionally, he received the Undersecretary of Defense Award for Technological Innovation and Improvement in 1998, was named Best Financial Management Analysis Officer by Air Force Material Command in 1995, Outstanding Contributor to Financial Management and Comptroller for the United States Air Force in 1993, Best Cost Analysis Officer in the Air Force in 1990, and Best Cost Analysis Branch for Strategic Air Command in 1988. He was also a distinguished graduate of the United States Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and graduated with distinction in Humanistic Studies from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1986.

Laying a solid educational foundation, Mr. Andrasz earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial administration, summa cum laude, from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1986, a Master of Science in systems management from the University of Southern California in 1989, and a master’s degree in military operational art and science from the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College in 2001. His professional certifications include professional cost estimator analyst from the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association, certified defense financial manager from the American Society of Military Comptrollers, certified government financial manager from the Association of Government Accountants, and both in program management and third-level in financial management from the U.S. Air Force Acquisition Professional Development Program. He credits his success to the support of his parents and a few encouraging teachers.
