Mr. Williams previously held memberships with Toastmasters International and the Leadership Club and served as youth director for a church community. In recognition of his achievements, he earned a Leadership Award and a Scholarship Grant from Yale University. Laying a solid educational foundation for his success, he earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of the West Indies in 2006, a Bachelor of Arts in religion from Northern Caribbean University in 2014, and a Master of Arts in religion from Yale University in 2016. Reflecting on his journey, he shares that his career has given him the opportunity to help disadvantaged populations. Before founding Melhor Life Solutions, he worked for a nonprofit that assisted individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving independent living within the community. He spearheaded training programs to help them reach this goal. Inspired by that experience, he founded Melhor with the aim of building on what he had learned, using improved models to make a more meaningful impact on the same population.
To Mr. Williams, success means living life on his own terms, achieving financial independence, and becoming the “chief executive officer of his own life.” He attributes his accomplishments to his determination, which was fueled by growing up in a single-parent household with limited resources. His mother raised the family on her own, and from a young age, he was driven to one day provide for her and improve their circumstances. In the coming years, he hopes to enter the agriculture industry while expanding the healthcare services he currently offers across different states, particularly for individuals with intellectual disabilities. He also aims to broaden his focus to include elderly and private care services. When advising aspiring professionals, he emphasizes the importance of persistence, commitment, and being solution-driven. He also highlights the need to adapt to change and create a healthy work-life balance. In his personal life, he enjoys hiking, camping, bowling, and exploring new cities through travel.
