Attributing more than four decades to his distinguished career, Dr. Clark has demonstrated expertise in administrative management and organizational support across military and civilian sectors. His most recent tenure was as an administrative management specialist with the Chippewa National Forest under the U.S. Department of Agriculture from 2024 to 2026. In this capacity, Dr. Clark provided direct support to the forest supervisor and deputy forest supervisor, managed employee onboarding systems and identification card issuance, served as key control officer overseeing key distribution, and supervised vehicle assignment and checkout procedures. Additionally, he managed correspondence and acted as a contract officer representative for janitorial services. Dr. Clark became known as the central resource for colleagues seeking assistance with a wide array of operational challenges, earning respect for his ability to resolve issues efficiently and foster a collaborative work environment.
Dr. Clark spent over 10 years as an executive assistant at Chippewa National Forest from 2013 to 2024. In this position, he supported senior leadership by handling complex administrative functions and ensuring smooth operations throughout the organization.
During his time at Chippewa National Forest, Dr. Clark was instrumental in supporting senior leadership through complex administrative functions that ensured seamless operations across the organization. Notably, he played a pivotal role in bridging cultural divides within the workplace and led significant inclusivity initiatives beginning in 2019. Tasked with training more than 35,000 employees on equity and diversity, Dr. Clark guided high-level staff through a transformative process that encouraged acceptance and fostered a sense of value among all personnel. His efforts resulted in lasting improvements to organizational culture and exemplified his commitment to building meaningful relationships across diverse backgrounds. His ability to bridge gaps between individuals of different cultures and ethnicities became a hallmark of his professional journey during this period.
Dr. Clark’s earlier tenure included his role as a family readiness support assistant with the U.S. Department of Defense from 2008 to 2013. In this capacity, he provided vital administrative support to Army Community Service programs and helped military families access essential resources during challenging times. Dr. Clark’s commitment to uniting individuals from various backgrounds was reflected in his work with military communities as he promoted cross-cultural understanding.
Before transitioning to civilian service, Dr. Clark completed an exemplary 23-year military career with the U.S. Army. Between 1981 and 2003, he held the position of administrative management specialist in the Army Reserve, where he developed foundational expertise in organizational support and administration. Dr. Clark then served as a logistician at the rank of sergeant first class, managing operations critical to mission success, until 2011.
Dr. Clark’s perseverance throughout his military service stands as one of his proudest achievements. While many peers advanced rapidly through the ranks, it took him over 10 years to reach a significant promotion. This challenge tested his resolve but ultimately led him to transition specialties within the U.S. Army. It also resulted in two promotions within four years after years of stagnation and culminated in Dr. Clark’s retirement after more than two decades of service.
A testament to his lifelong learning, Dr. Clark completed undergraduate work, followed by a Master of Arts from the Theological Institute of Florida in 2022 and a Doctor of Philosophy in theology from Ascend Christian University in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2025. These academic accomplishments have been instrumental in shaping his approach to leadership and service, providing him with both theoretical grounding and practical insight into human behavior and organizational dynamics.
Dr. Clark’s commitment to civic engagement includes his role as board chair of the Catholic Area Food Shelf, which serves Cass Lake and surrounding communities, and partnerships with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, through which he has expanded outreach efforts and enhanced services for Indigenous populations facing food insecurity. He began as a board member before advancing through the roles of secretary, vice chair, and, ultimately, chair. Additionally active within The Gideons International, where he has been involved with veterans’ outreach at local hospitals since 2018, Dr. Clark has held positions that included camp president, treasurer, state chaplain and state president.
Among his creative contributions, Dr. Clark has authored several books that explore themes of faith, resilience, and second chances, and include “My Journey in Grace: Stretched by Faith,” “My Journey in Grace: Are You Afraid to Step off the Boat?” and “Inspired Within.” His forthcoming book, which will be published via Amity Graphics, is titled “My Journey in Grace: A Brand New Story.” Dr. Clark’s writing serves not only as personal reflection but also as inspiration for others navigating adversity. Aside from writing, he enjoys participating in public speaking engagements aimed at inspiring others toward purposeful living.
Recognized for his honorable service, Dr. Clark received a Defense Meritorious Service Medal from the U.S. Army in 1988 for service during a hardship tour in Turkey, which involved international security operations. He also won a Youth Coaching Award from Army Community Service, recognizing his impact on the U.S. Army community.
Dr. Clark attributes much of his success to the strong women who influenced his life, particularly his mother, who raised seven children as a single parent while instilling values of hard work and perseverance. Her sacrifices inspired not only him but also his siblings’ achievements across various fields.
In retirement since February 2026, following organizational restructuring within government agencies, Dr. Clark remains devoted to engaging with community initiatives rather than slowing down. He also intends to expand his influence as an author and speaker by reaching larger audiences nationwide and internationally, helping individuals recognize life’s value while encouraging them not merely to exist but truly live with intention.
