Colleen McGuinn, president at Home Instead, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business management.

With over two decades of experience to her credit, Ms. McGuinn has established a successful career in business management, specializing in customer relationship and service management. She currently serves as president of the St. Charles office of Home Instead, a role she has held since 2023, where she oversees company operations, drives revenue growth, and manages client expansion. She is dedicated to fostering a sense of community within the organization and through local outreach partnerships. Her primary mission is to help seniors age in place with dignity and respect, ensuring they receive the best care possible in their homes. Her experience also includes serving as general manager at Home Instead from 2020 to 2023 and as client care manager from 2004 to 2020. She is also involved with the Fox Valley Alzheimer’s Association as a board committee member and was formerly active as a board member at The Kenneth Young Center. Laying a solid educational foundation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, and business from Harper College in 1983 and is certified in dementia care and as a death doula.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. McGuinn worked in advertising sales before joining Home Instead. After witnessing her father’s illness, she realized she no longer wanted to continue in that field and sought a career where she could help people. After meeting the caregivers for her father, she was inspired by their selfless dedication and decided to pursue a similar path. She finds great reward in her work, having been able to help thousands of families, many of whom she has built lasting connections with. While she takes pride in growing the business and its financial success, what she values most is her ability to connect with people facing difficulties, such as losing independence, and to gain their trust. In the coming years, she aims to expand her business and may even consider purchasing a company of her own. She is also committed to sharpening her skills and is open to incorporating AI technology to stay competitive and ensure long-term employee and client satisfaction. Additionally, she hopes to continue dedicating more time to her advocacy work and volunteering.
