Since 2023, he has also been an author at Packt Publishing Limited. His responsibilities include helping product teams develop secure embedded Linux systems appliances, assisting Red Hat partners worldwide, collaborating with product teams to enhance solutions, and supporting the development of prototypes. His experience also includes director of sales engineering at Flosum in 2022, team lead for solutions architecture at Red Hat from 2020 to 2022, and senior partner solutions architect from 2017 to 2020. He was also a senior solutions architect from 2015 to 2017, a solutions architect at Mirantis in 2014, and a principal architect at AdvizeX Technologies from 2013 to 2014. Mr. St. Onge’s educational background includes coursework in computer science and law enforcement at Austin Peay State University in 1992, Asian studies at the University of Maryland from 1990 to 1991, and general studies at Hopkinsville Community College from 1991 to 1992. He also completed UNIX systems and programming studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1998 and information technology coursework at the University of Phoenix from 2002 to 2003. His certifications include Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Certified Customer Success Manager Level 1.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. St. Onge is notably distinguished as the sole platform solutions architect at Red Hat across North America, among the company’s 20,000 employees, for his unique role in supporting embedded systems partners, a position that has garnered global recognition. His expertise lies in designing embedded systems and engaging with professionals worldwide in this capacity. Additionally, he was honored to be approached by Packt Publishing in 2023 to author “Mastering Embedded Linux Systems Security.” He credits his success to his consistent pursuit of challenging problems that others may find daunting, always striving to push the boundaries of his capabilities.
