His experience also includes serving as senior associate in risk and accounting advisory services at Cherry Bekaert from 2022 to 2023, compliance manager at OneMain Financial from 2021 to 2022, compliance manager at Mashreq Bank from 2019 to 2020, and managing partner at The Global Enterprise Corporate Solutions LLC from 2017 to 2019. He also held the role of senior manager of risk, information security, and compliance solutions at SunGard from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in his career, he served as senior risk consultant and regulatory advisor at KPMG US from 2011 to 2014, adjunct professor at Chapman University from 1992 to 2012, and bank examiner at the FDIC from 2008 to 2011. He began his career as a finance officer at the Central Intelligence Agency from 1987 to 1992, following his service in operations and intelligence with the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1987, during which he received numerous commendations and achievement medals. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Washington Adventist University in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration in business and finance from Averett University in 1991. He attributes his success to the influence of his father, a former Marine who played a supportive role in his life and mentored other young men in a positive and impactful way.
