Leading a diverse, rewarding career for over two decades, Mr. Kusayev has been serving as the assistant director of care management at Advance Care Alliance of New York Inc. (ACANY) in Hauppauge, an organization providing care management, disability services and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2019.
Founded in 2018, ACANY is a nonprofit care coordination organization serving over 25,000 individuals in New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley regions. The nonprofit offers care management, health promotion, and other services, as well as seminars and other events that support long-term wellness.
In addition to his work in this sector, Mr. Kusayev became the business manager at Gesher Yehuda Inc., a private Jewish school in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in educating children with learning disabilities. On campus, he oversees and manages the financial, operational and administrative functions, develops, implements and monitors the budget and, among other tasks, serves as the primary contact for parents regarding financial matters, such as tuition, financial aid and billing. He is also tasked with managing building maintenance and code compliance for a safe, functioning school that is critical to the well-being of teachers and staff students. Moreover, Mr. Kusayev serves on the school’s department committee, collaborating with parents to discuss financial needs. He then presents each case to determine tuition support.
Among his previous noteworthy roles, Mr. Kusayev was impactful during his tenure with Urban Student Support from 2022 to 2024, where he helped grow the start-up from just four employees to over 500 employees by the time he resigned. He also held leading roles as the chief financial officer at Congregation Emet Ve Emuna from 2017 to 2019 and as the academic director at Harmony Services Inc. between 2014 and 2017. He also excelled as a Title V peer mentor at Mercy College from 2012 to 2014, as the head of marketing and executive assistant at Oxford Realty Group from 2010 to 2014, as the chief operating officer of Kusayev Tutoring between 2010 and 2020, and as a manager for IKMPC Medical Office from 2007 to 2010. Mr. Kusayev began his career as the administrative assistant to the financial director at Yeshiva Tifereth Moshe in 2003. His expertise in managing teams and providing leadership that fosters collaboration has been instrumental in his success.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Kusayev received a Bachelor of Science in behavioral science and health service management from Mercy University and a Master of Business Administration in finance and international business from Washington State University. He also received credentials as a chartered financial analyst from the CFA Institute. Mr. Kusayev’s extensive educational background has been pivotal in his ability to relate to patients and students and serve in leading roles in health care and education.
Mr. Kusayev remains active civically by contributing to the growth and development of Emet V’Emunah Congregation. Eager for his future and the future development of Gesher Yehuda Inc., he envisions earning a higher-level position and possibly running his own school. He attributes his success thus far to his wife’s unwavering support.
