With three decades of experience, Mr. Ramstead has built a successful career in business strategy and executive coaching. He has excelled as chief executive officer of “Beyond Influence” since 2012 and serves as chief innovation and strategy officer at Lighthouse Power Business starting in 2023. He founded and hosts the Eternal Leadership Podcast since 2014, and held roles such as president of Alpha Principle from 2022 to 2023, executive coach at The Ramstead Group LLC from 2014 to 2022, and principal at Financial Designs Ltd. from 2011 to 2014. His background includes vice president at Bernstein Global Wealth Management from 2004 to 2011, district manager at EMC from 2000 to 2004, and chief operating officer for North America at Synera from 1997 to 2000. He also served as a naval aviator in the U.S. Navy from 1988 until 1995.
Mr. Ramstead’s expertise spans business strategy, executive coaching, management consulting, and creating profitable small and medium-sized business processes. Mr. Ramstead also dedicates his time as co-chair of the board of directors for Urban Youth Ministries since 2024, advisory board member for the Denver Institute for Faith & Work since 2019, and adviser for ACE Scholarships since 2010. His past roles also include founder and chairman of the board for the Colorado Faith and Freedom Coalition from 2010 to 2014 and board member for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado from 2009 to 2014. He actively participates in the Christian Economic Forum and holds memberships in the International Coaching Federation, National Speakers Association, and Society for Human Resource Management. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1988 and holds certifications as a coach from the International Coaching Federation, including Certified Performance Leadership Coach and Associate Certified Coach.
Reflecting on his path, Mr. Ramstead began his career in the 1980s as a naval aviator, becoming a successful F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot and participating in combat cruises. After his military service, he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding multiple startups in technology, software, and financial services. Demonstrating strong leadership, he navigated a Fortune 100 company through the 2008 financial crisis. In 2011, a severe horseback riding accident led to a long recovery, but he overcame this setback and transitioned into coaching. Today, his coaching business employs three staff members and a team of ten seasoned coaches. He attributes his success to the valuable guidance he received, especially from his father, who taught him to set ambitious goals, seek support from experts, and remain committed. He highlights the importance of surrounding oneself with a supportive network of friends, family, and allies when pursuing significant aspirations. In the coming years, he plans to help 100 clients double their profits, aiming for a collective contribution of $30 million to community issues.
