With nearly 35 years of experience, Mr. Monahogios has built a successful career in consulting, specializing in risk management as well as business development in finance and property development. Since transitioning from Wall Street in 2024, he has provided advisory services focusing on market tracking and strategic guidance in currencies, interest rates, and equities. As a strategic executive portfolio advisor, he actively manages risk and trading strategies for emerging market FX portfolios, ensuring effective hedging and liquidity management for fintech, technology firms, private equity, and family offices. His expertise includes guiding clients on industry best practices, structuring derivative transactions, and advising on cross-border acquisitions and investment strategies. Before becoming an independent advisor, he held senior leadership positions at major financial institutions.

From 2020 to 2024, Mr. Monahogios served as managing director and head of global markets solutions, Americas, at UBS, advising international corporations, institutional clients, and wealth management firms with AUMs ranging from $100 million to more than $5 billion across the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Previously, as managing director and head of corporate FX distribution at UBS from 2010 to 2020, he transformed a capital-intensive corporate derivatives book into a streamlined, Basel III-compliant platform and re-engineered capital market derivatives programs for the Americas Wealth Management Division. His resilience during the financial crisis led him to Barclays from 2008 to 2010 as managing director and head of U.S. corporate FX sales following the Lehman collapse. Before that, he spent nearly a decade at Lehman Brothers between 1999 and 2008 as senior vice president and head of corporate FX sales, leading major cross-border transactions and deal-contingent hedging. Earlier in his career, he was vice president at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from 1992 to 1999, specializing in corporate FX sales and derivatives trading.

In addition to his extensive advisory and trading experience, Mr. Monahogios played a pivotal role in re-engineering businesses during the dot-com era assisting pre-IPO tech companies in establishing hedge policies as they transitioned into public markets while demonstrating adaptability and resilience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and a Master of Business Administration in finance and international business from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Looking ahead, he aims to expand his influence within Wall Street, private equity, and family offices while exploring new ventures in asset and wealth management, board assignments, technology, and real estate development.
