Emmanuel “Manny” Monahogios, Independent Risk Management Advisor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance.
With nearly three and a half decades of experience, Mr. Monahogios has established a successful career in consulting, specializing in risk management advisory. Since 2023, he has served as an independent risk management advisor, focusing on tracking markets, analyzing trends, and providing guidance on currencies, interest rates, and hedge policy revisions. His work includes helping clients adopt best practices, placing derivatives, and restructuring contracts to align with underlying exposures. His previous roles include managing director and head of global markets solutions, Americas, at UBS from 2020 to 2024, managing director and head of corporate FX distribution at UBS from 2010 to 2020, and managing director and head of United States corporate FX sales at Barclays Capital from 2008 to 2010. Earlier in his career, he served as senior vice president and head of corporate FX sales at Lehman Brothers from 1999 to 2008 and held vice president roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in corporate FX sales, structuring, and trading from 1992 to 1999.
Mr. Monahogios laid a strong educational foundation with a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Business Administration in finance and international business from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University in 1997. He holds multiple FINRA certifications, including Series 24, Series 9, Series 63, and Series 7. Among his career highlights is managing Walmart’s acquisition of the Asda UK supermarket chain, where his innovative risk management approach successfully completed a transaction initially led by Goldman Sachs. He also played a key role in reengineering businesses during the dot-com era’s sharp decline, showcasing his adaptability, persistence, and resilience. Looking to the future, he plans to continue Wall Street deals while transitioning to one-on-one advisory roles, with potential plans to establish his own practice or join a family office. Additionally, he aims to expand his network with mid-tier private equity firms and is exploring a transition into asset or wealth management as a financial advisor.
