Northern Trust is a global financial services firm specializing in wealth management, asset servicing, asset management, and banking solutions. Previously, he held the position of San Diego banking practice leader at Northern Trust, a role he performed from 2008 to 2012. Earlier in his career, he was vice president of commercial and real estate banking at Citi National Bank, where he served from 2000 to 2008, and credit analyst at American National Bank in Chicago, later Bank One Corporation, from 1998 to 2000.

In addition, Mr. Rechner has contributed to his community as a member of the board of trustees for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, a leading pediatric academic medical center dedicated to providing compassionate, top-tier healthcare to children, a position he has held since 2019. He is also a past Corporate Board Member of the San Diego Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and is also currently involved with his church, as well as other local charitable organizations.

Reflecting on his path, Mr. Rechner pursued an education from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, earning a bachelor’s degree in finance and business in 1998. Inspired by his father, a successful businessman, he was drawn to a career in the broad business industry. Throughout his career, he has embraced the importance of applying his financial expertise and working closely with business owners to address a wide range of challenges and opportunities. He believes that this hands-on approach ultimately guided him to his current role in the banking and finance sector. In addition, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of his team members. He also takes great pride in the financial success of the Los Angeles branch and the exceptional support provided to the banking practice under his leadership.

Mr. Rechner attributes his success to the invaluable guidance and support of numerous mentors who generously shared their professional and personal triumphs with him.
