Yolanda M. Holtzee, MS, BS, consultant and contractor with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice and state regulatory agencies, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.
With nearly four and a half decades of experience, Ms. Holtzee has established a successful career in consulting, specializing in engineering and manufacturing, stock trading, and executive recruiting. She currently serves as a consultant with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the federal government, where she provides consulting and contracting services related to securities, stocks, and bonds. While the SEC is her primary client, she also collaborates with the Department of Justice and several state securities regulatory agencies, as well as one Canadian regulatory agency. Additionally, since 1981, she has worked as an engineer, focusing on engineering and manufacturing within global companies. She laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and physics from Troy University. She furthered her expertise by completing a Master of Science in operations management at the University of Southern California.
Ms. Holtzee takes great pride in her role in bringing a recidivist securities fraudster to federal prison, a significant achievement in her career. She is also deeply passionate about supporting retail investors and aiding individuals in need. She finds great fulfillment from her work and helping people improve their quality of life. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has been recognized with several accolades. These include receiving the Alcan A+ Award in 1984 and 1985, the largest awards program celebrating excellence in architecture and spaces. Earlier in her career, she was honored as the Best New Hire Management Intern at Miller Brewing Company in 1982.
Ms. Holtzee attributes her success to her exceptionally high IQ, measured between 135 and 142, and to an intrinsic drive she describes as a “fire in her belly.” This motivation has fueled her achievements across diverse fields from an early age, beginning when she was a toddler. As the firstborn in her family, she acknowledges being somewhat indulged but credits her maternal grandmother, Anna, as a profound source of inspiration, as she was an immigrant with no formal education who built a successful career as a businesswoman. She admires her grandmother’s determination and ingenuity, qualities that have significantly shaped her own ambitions and work ethic.
Looking to the future, Ms. Holtzee plans to continue her part-time consulting work as she embraces a semi-retired lifestyle. In advising aspiring professionals, she underscores the importance of prioritizing academic focus and minimizing time spent on social media. She believes that many social media platforms pose unhealthy distractions, particularly for minors and young adults, and cautions that these distractions can significantly hinder academic achievement and personal growth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her spouse and pets, and cherishes a balanced and rewarding life. She also spends her time gardening, cooking, grilling and baking.
