Since 2024, he has served as the executive director of the Pregnancy Care Center of Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Florida. In this capacity, he manages overall ministry operations, attends networking groups and chamber meetings, spreads awareness about pregnancy care ministry and organizes annual fundraising banquets. His responsibilities also include building relationships with donors and community partners, securing sponsorships for events and mentoring staff and volunteers. Mr. Castellani’s expertise in fundraising, networking, finance and accounting has enabled him to lead the organization with distinction.
Before serving in this leading role, Mr. Castellani was the founder and executive director of Oasis Pregnancy Care Centers from 2009 to 2024. Under his leadership, the organization became a vital resource for women and families facing crisis pregnancies in the Tampa Bay, Florida, area. His vision for Oasis was born from a deeply personal experience that shaped his lifelong mission to protect unborn life and support those in need. Through his efforts with Oasis and other pregnancy care centers, Mr. Castellani is most proud of saving more than 700 babies from abortion and sharing the gospel with over 500 individuals.
Mr. Castellani’s earlier professional journey spanned more than three decades at IBM, where he served as a business controls principal adviser from 1978 to 2009. In this role, he developed a reputation for excellence in financial management and business controls within one of the world’s leading technology companies. Mr. Castellani’s tenure at IBM provided a strong foundation in corporate finance and instilled principles that would later guide his work in the nonprofit sector.
Before entering the corporate world, Mr. Castellani served as a finance specialist in the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1977. Enlisting immediately after high school, he excelled during basic training, earning recognition as trainee of the cycle, and graduated at the top of his class from Army Finance School. This formative experience revealed Mr. Castellani’s potential for achievement and established a pattern of discipline and dedication that would define his subsequent endeavors.
Mr. Castellani’s educational background further underpins his accomplishments. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and finance, with honors, from Pace University in New York City in 1982. While attending college, he implemented a rigorous study regimen that resulted in placement on the dean’s list every semester, a testament to his commitment to academic excellence. In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Castellani is a certified management accountant, a credential that has enhanced his effectiveness as both a financial professional and nonprofit leader.
Among Mr. Castellani’s industry involvement, he serves as a board member for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay and treasurer for the Healthy Start Coalition of Pasco County. He has also contributed as a volunteer with Carlitos and as a consultant for Hope Cove, as well as numerous pregnancy centers across the United States.
A published author, Mr. Castellani wrote “The Great Darkness,” which chronicles his journey through personal trials, including family struggles, and details how faith transformed adversity into purpose-driven action. The book serves not only as a narrative but also as encouragement for others facing difficult circumstances. Mr. Castellani is also the author of “How to Start a Pregnancy Center,” providing practical guidance for those seeking to establish similar ministries.
Throughout his career, Mr. Castellani has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in nonprofit leadership and consulting. His ability to build lasting relationships with donors and community partners stems from lessons learned early on that persistence and consistency are essential to successful fundraising efforts. Mr. Castellani credits his father for instilling a strong work ethic, emphasizing that every task should be completed with excellence, and he applies this principle across all aspects of his professional life.
Recognition for Mr. Castellani’s impact includes Nonprofit of the Year awards from both the Greater Pasco Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay, along with Civic Organization of the Year honors from Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce. In addition to these accolades, Mr. Castellani was featured in Florida Women Magazine for his professional contributions.
Looking ahead, Mr. Castellani is considering retirement from executive leadership but intends to remain active by consulting for nonprofits and pregnancy centers nationwide. He plans to continue mentoring leaders within these organizations so they may benefit from the expertise he has developed over decades, expertise he attributes ultimately to divine guidance.
