Since being acquired over 20 years ago, he has significantly impacted the organization by playing a critical role in the expansion of UNICOM Global. When Mr. Watt first joined the company, it generated $12 million annually. However, under his direct supervision, it has grown to produce nearly $1 billion in annual revenue.
Leveraging years of former success, Mr. Watt was previously employed by Landmark Entertainment in North Hollywood, California, where he also served as the chief financial officer from 1998 to 2002. As such, Mr. Watt was responsible for developing high-profile themed entertainment projects at Universal Studios in Las Vegas and various projects in the People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Watt has over 30 years of experience working with intellectual property and more than 25 years specializing in enterprise software. His extensive experience in the interface of information technology, finance and intellectual property has been pivotal to his success and longevity as an esteemed executive in this sector. He has also earned a reputation for his aptitude within the industry.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Watt graduated from California State University in Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree. He continued his studies, attending Southwestern University, where he completed a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1993.
In light of his success, the Los Angeles community awarded Mr. Watt Runner-Up for Chief Financial Officer of the Year. He credits much of his good fortune to his incredible work ethic and ability to effectively connect the realms of law and finance.
