Over the past 30 years, the company has managed OSHA regulations and insurance costs for clients and provides various services, including site inspections, risk assessments, on-site safety personnel, workers’ compensation claim management and lead monitoring. Additionally, Safety & Risk Management Services LLC specializes in Occupational Safety and Health Administration and JLG training and assists in reviewing safety programs and managing insurance claims.
Before his tenure with Safety & Risk Management Services LLC, Mr. Spicher was the superintendent, safety director and estimator at Service 1st Restoration LLC from 2005 to 2006 and the safety director at Hershocks Inc. between 2004 and 2005. These high-level positions were pivotal in shaping his ability to lead an organization successfully. Although Mr. Spicher intended to pursue a career in law after studying criminology in college, he returned to the construction industry, where he could apply his degree to investigations and safety practices.
A graduate of Albright College, Mr. Spicher received a bachelor’s degree in criminology in 2003 with the assistance of an academic scholarship. He also earned several professional credentials to support his career, including software estimating certification and incident command system certification through the Federal Emergency Management Association, as well as numerous specialty training and leadership designations.
As a testament to his dedication to the field, Mr. Spicher is active in the American Subcontractors Association. He previously served as a member of the State of Pennsylvania’s governor’s safety committee for 15 years and was the vice president of that committee from 2019 to 2020. Civically, Mr. Spicher enjoys volunteering at his church and overseeing his nonprofit, Happy Birthday Buddies.
Throughout his career, Mr. Spicher has been recognized with several accolades, beginning with a Sportsmanship/Leadership Award from Bruce Barclay Electrical in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in 1999. That same year, the Mechanicsburg Area High School Alumni Association named him Lineman of the Year. In 2001, Mr. Spicher was named Albright College’s Most Improved Lineman.
Mr. Spicher’s expertise in safety training, risk control and workers’ compensation claim management have been particularly instrumental in his success. He also thanks his parents and wife for their guidance and support, which have allowed him to achieve his professional goals. Equally important, Mr. Spicher pays homage to his company’s clients for placing their trust in him and his team. He also values his relationships with his employees, ensuring they know what an integral role they play in his company’s success.
In the coming years, Mr. Spicher plans to further his education in safety while expanding his business and hiring additional employees to handle the influx of business. He also intends to create a legacy for his family to take over. Besides his work-related goals, Mr. Spicher remains dedicated to serving the community and growing Happy Birthday Buddies to positively impact more communities.
