Ms. Perez, a seasoned software development professional of over 25 years, joined Orion180 in 2025 as a technical lead, a position she has been striving to achieve over the past decade. A significant accomplishment that stems from years of previous success, she focuses on not allowing obstacles to deter her while supporting the ongoing needs of her organization. Ms. Perez also held positions within the industry with companies like JR3 Education, MasTec Inc., Imperial Fire, Insurance Technologies, and RealPage Inc. Ms. Perez began her career as an I/S technical analyst at NEC Business Network Solutions in 2001, where she briefly served until being acquired by J-Kon Systems as a software developer from 2001 to 2004.

As a woman in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and software development for two decades, Ms. Perez is grateful for her accomplishments and recognizes that flexibility across industries has been key to her success. Besides her professional background, she has been active with local and national nonprofits, such as the North Texas Food Bank and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Crediting her accomplishments to several incredible mentors who have invested in her, Ms. Perez emphasizes the importance of finding and recognizing those individuals. In the coming years, she intends to build a top-tier, all-female team and is advocating for them to take on roles traditionally dominated by men.
