Celebrating a varied career of more than 40 years, Mr. Davy currently serves as a financial adviser for Ashford Advisors. Prior to this, he gained experience in the finance space as a financial adviser for Equitable Advisors, a financial services professional for New York Life Insurance Company, a private client banker and relationship banker for Chase, a financial professional for Strategic Planning Group, and more. Mr. Davy first shifted into the insurance and finance spaces as a health insurance adviser for The IHC Group in 2017. Before that change, he led a fulfilling career of over 30 years in the United States Food and Drug Administration, first as a chemist and then a consumer safety officer. During this time period, Mr. Davy also provided guidance as the chief executive officer of RAD Inc. His wide range of career interests includes teaching others, both as a certified flight instructor and through Varsity Tutors.
Mr. Davy’s performance throughout his professional life was born of his academic journey. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from The City University of New York in 1984. Subsequently, Mr. Davy earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2022. Committed to lifelong improvement, he has pursued numerous certifications and licensures. Mr. Davy has maintained a commercial aircraft pilot license from the Federal Aviation Administration since 1990 has been certified as a flight instructor since 2016. Through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), he is verified in security industries essentials, as a general securities representative, as a uniform law agent, and as a uniform investment adviser, among other certifications in insurance and financial services.
Beyond his many career successes, Mr. Davy is a devoted father to two children. Outside of work, he finds joy in plane spotting, bowling, listening to music, and singing in his local church’s men’s choir. Mr. Davy’s next goal for the future is to complete his designation as a chartered financial analyst, which will open up more opportunities for managing portfolios. Beyond that, he looks forward to connecting with and helping people however he can.
