Mr. Singh, an expert in medical technology, has been a co-founder and member of the board and the chief executive officer of SensTek Diagnostics since 2024. Headquartered in Oakland, California, SensTek comprises a team of physicians, scientists and technologists aiming to bring to market a molecular diagnostic device that will detect any virus, bacteria, cell or other microorganism via off-the-shelf bioassays that is both affordable and easy to use. This device would allow individuals to test at home and receive qualitative and quantitative results without visiting a hospital.
Beyond his work at SesTek Diagnostics, Mr. Singh became the managing director at Silicon Valley Advantage in 2024 after initially serving as an advisor and mentor for the company from 2018 to 2024. The company is based in Pleasanton, California, and is recognized as an accelerator and innovation hub specializing in technology and life science. Furthermore, Mr. Singh has been instrumental on the board of ASH Sensors since 2024, where he advises on sensor technology, semiconductors, hardware/software development, fundraising and go-to-market strategy.
Beginning his career at Broadcom in 2004, Mr. Singh was part of the hardware development engineering group. Over the next decade, he advanced with several other leading organizations. In 2014, he was acquired by Integrated Device Technology Inc. (now Renesas) in San Francisco as a member of its marketing analog and power division. Mr. Singh also worked for Renesas Electronics as part of its strategy and planning group from 2018 to 2022 and as a product line director for its battery management system between 2022 and 2024.
Mr. Singh’s tenure in the semiconductor industry and with Fortune 500 companies spanned over two decades. During his career, he has garnered extensive experience in consumer electronics, industrial applications, automotive, health care, and other sectors. Before launching SensTek Diagnostics, Mr. Singh became involved in product lines and developed various technologies, from concept to real-life products, such as wireless charging gadgets and fast chargers. This pivotal moment in his career sparked his interest in launching his own company.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Singh received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of California Davis in 2002 and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from San Jose State University in 2005. His education has been pivotal to his career success.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Singh has been granted over a dozen U.S. patents, including for an apparatus, system and method for back-channel communication in an inductive wireless power transfer system, for detecting a foreign object in an inductive wireless power transfer system based on input power, and for a monotonic transfer function in wireless power transfer systems. However, Mr. Singh’s most notable achievement has been bringing novel technologies to the market at a previously unattainable price.
Mr. Singh attributes much of his career accomplishments to several excellent mentors, servant leadership and dedication to giving back to the community. His expertise in miniaturization technology, the concept of continually manufacturing smaller mechanical, optical and electronic products and devices, has also been pivotal to his continued industry success.
In the coming years, Mr. Singh aims to release several products through SensTek Diagnostics that will disrupt health care and impact the private market. He also intends to become more involved in community initiatives through organizations like the American Red Cross.
