Mr. Haggarty is an experienced financial services professional serving as a portfolio manager and trader at J.P. Morgan Asset Management since 2023. In his role, he is tasked with managing bonds exchange-traded funds (ETFs), creating long-term buy-and-hold opportunities, and, among other goals, devising strategies for finding bonds from broker-dealers from anywhere within the business where he sees opportunities to increase shareholding values for his clients. Additionally, Mr. Haggarty has excelled as a vice president at J.P. Morgan Chase & Company since 2021, where he serves as an investment specialist covering municipal separately managed accounts, mutual funds and ETFs. Leveraging his past success at J.P. Morgan Chase & Company, he was first hired in 2016 as an interest rate risk business analyst and reporting analyst.
A graduate of Lynn University, Mr. Haggarty received a Bachelor of Science in investment management, summa cum laude, in 2015. He also garnered experience completing internships with Quad Capital, Entrex Capital Markets and Blue Shores Capital. Beyond his career accomplishments, Mr. Haggarty has been engaged in community projects, including as a volunteer mentor and conference team leader at Millennium Campus Network for over a decade.
Since entering his industry, Mr. Haggarty has found success through his firm in restructuring its ECS platform from inception to its launch and capital raise, and he now manages those strategies daily. Attributing his good fortune to several mentors, including the chief executive officer at AT&T, for providing him with valuable career advice, he determined the right path and how to think ahead and in the moment. In the future, Mr. Haggarty intends to earn the title of lead portfolio manager at one of his company’s funds, allowing him to take ownership of one of their strategies, develop their platforms and foster continuous growth.
