PJ Andersson, chief executive officer of Golden Bay Distillery, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in food and beverage and finance.

Mr. Andersson is a distinguished professional with a career spanning over three decades in the financial and entrepreneurial sectors. As the chief executive officer and co-founder of Golden Bay Distillery Ltd and LiuBaJiuJiu Ltd since 2016, he has been instrumental in creating purpose-driven brands that give back to the community. One of his notable brands is Championz Gin, which partnered with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund in Washington, D.C., to create a special edition gin directing 100% of its profits to the fund. Other collaborations have included working with the Yogi Berra Museum and the Sarala Bethena Foundation. Mr. Andersson’s innovative business model aims to donate a billion dollars to charity through product sales.

Before his current roles, Mr. Andersson served as head of equities Asia ex-Japan at Mizuho Securities Co. Ltd. in Hong Kong from 2014 to 2016. He also gained experience during his tenure at Citigroup, where he held several key positions from 1998 to 2013, including head of equity sales for the Americas, head of equity derivative sales for the Americas and head of Pan-Asian convertible bonds and equity derivative sales.

Mr. Andersson’s early career was spent in the financial sector with convertible bond and equity derivative sales at BZW Securities in London and Tokyo from 1995 to 1998. Prior to this appointment, he worked in convertible bond sales at Morgan Stanley in London from 1994 to 1995 after beginning his professional journey as a candidate attorney at Rushmere Noach Inc. in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, from 1992 to 1993.

Academically, Mr. Andersson holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Rhodes University, both completed in 1991. He passed the South African Side Bar exam in 1993. He further enhanced his credentials by becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst and completing the MIT Fintech: Future Commerce online course through MIT Professional Education. Additionally, he earned the FT Non-Executive Director Diploma from the FT Board Director Program.

Mr. Andersson’s civic involvement includes volunteering for Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2023, for which he received volunteer recognition in 2024. He is also a supporter of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the Yogi Berra Museum, among other charitable organizations.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Andersson enjoys participating in martial arts, hunting and playing tennis and golf. He is also very proud of his role as a father to his children, whom he sees as his first legacy. Reflecting on his career, he has been driven to succeed by the values instilled in him by his parents, including being a champion to others, perseverance, integrity and respect. As he continues his work, he seeks to establish his second legacy goal of donating one billion dollars to charity before he reaches age 75.
