Ariel LaNette Lybarger, associate managing director of public advisory services at Witt O’Brien’s Ambipar Response and part-time faculty at Central New Mexico Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in project management.
Ms. Lybarger, an experienced accountant and educator, has been active in her field for over 15 years. As the associate managing director of public advisory services at Witt O’Brien’s Ambipar Response since 2024, she primarily focuses on state and local government, federal agencies, and some nonprofit and foundational work. She is also involved in expanding several new service lines within the grant management, consulting and policy and procedure space. Beyond her role at Witt O’Brien’s, Ms. Lybarger has been a part-time faculty member at Central New Mexico Community College since 2019, where she teaches business, hospitality, technology and project management courses.
Besides her present role as a managing director, Ms. Lybarger was affiliated with Moss Adams as a consulting manager, then as a consulting senior manager, specializing in grant management consulting, policy and procedure consulting and internal audit. She also worked for TechSource Inc. as a program management analyst at TechSource Inc. and Esphera Concepts. Earlier, she succeeded as a project controller and project manager at Sandia National Laboratories after initially working as a records and project management professional for the organization. Ms. Lybarger’s foundational roles included serving as an audit and consulting associate and team lead at REDW and as a tax accountant at Ricci & Company LLC. Ms. Lybarger’s expertise in various areas of the industry, from project and program management to grant compliance, federal funding and financial assistance and compliance have been pivotal to her continued success.
Ms. Lybarger holds a Bachelor of Arts in professional, technical, business and scientific writing from the University of New Mexico since 2012 and a Master of Accountancy from the University of New Mexico since 2015. Additionally, she holds certification as a project management professional, making her highly qualified in her field. Ms. Lybarger is active in several industry-related organizations, including the Project Management Institute, the National Grant Management Association and the Grant Professionals Association. She is also aligned with civic groups like the YMCA of Central New Mexico as a member of its board since 2022. Ms. Lybarger’s most notable accomplishments throughout her career included leading and managing a $12 billion defense program during her tenure with the U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration. She also received a Technical Excellence Award from Moss Adams and several accommodations from the United States Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration for excellence and achievement in service.
