Mr. Molina, an expert in his field, has been instrumental as the assistant vice president and regional and department head of facilities management and operations at The New York Institute For Special Education, Department of Homeless Services, since 2023. Founded in the 1830s, the nonprofit educational organization is located in the Bronx, New York, and provides programs for children who are blind or visually disabled and preschoolers who are developmentally delayed. As part of his responsibilities in his leading role, Mr. Molina oversees capital projects and facility improvements across campuses to ensure compliance with governing bodies and safety standards. He also delegates assignments to employees, works alongside various vendors and contractors, and collaborates with leadership members to secure funding and grants to facilitate renovations and new construction initiatives.
In addition to his role at the institute, Mr. Molina has been a consultant and managing partner at Dapper Protection Service (DPS) LLC since 2023. DPS assists clients with various matters, including capital projects, fire life safety, physical security technologies, strategic planning, and space and change management. Mr. Molina’s diverse background previously included his role as the assistant vice president of facility and operations at the New York City Department of Homeless Services from 2018 to 2023, as a compliance officer at Columbia University between 2016 and 2018, as the director of security operations at The Claremont Group from 2012 to 2016, and as a law enforcement investigator at the Society for the Protection & Care of Children, dating back to 2002.
Highly educated, Mr. Molina holds an undergraduate degree in business management, computer programming and telecommunications from the New York Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from the University of Phoenix, where he is now pursuing a doctorate in organizational leadership. Beyond his degrees, Mr. Molina is a member of the New York State Realtors Association and the International Facility Management Association. Becoming involved in facilities operation and security due to his passion for humankind possessing a safe, educational environment, he has drawn tremendous satisfaction from his work. In the future, he aims to secure a board of director role where he can raise awareness about the value of employees.
