Ms. Tyer-Goodwin is an award-winning author and owner of Goodwin Global Publishing (GGP) LLC, a company she launched in 2022. Leveraging her education and expertise as a writer, she began penning children’s books and initially worked with a publisher. Once she thoroughly understood the industry, she went into business for herself and subsequently trademarked what is known as the GG Life Lessons Storybook Series. Since then, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin has published numerous notable books through her company.
Ms. Tyer-Goodwin helps other aspiring writers document their stories and become published through GGP LLC. She offers such services as critiques, editorial, production, distribution, sales and marketing, and more. Ms. Tyer-Goodwin’s authors have also been highlighted on her website with links to their websites and where their books can be purchased. GGP LLC is notably a member of the International Organization of Professional Organizers and the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group.
Among Ms. Tyer-Goodwin’s books include “GG Cleans House: Learning Teamwork,” “GG Meets Her Match: Becoming Forever Friends,” “GG Takes Action: Practicing Health Safety,” and, among others, “GG Sets Sail: Seeing the Beauty of the World.” Through the GG Life Lessons Storybook Series, she teaches children about the importance of teamwork, character and other values, as well as friendship, beauty and other relevant and interesting topics geared toward the youth. In addition to her children’s books, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin authored two novels: “A Love, A Life Forgone” and “Living Past Shadows.”
Ms. Tyer-Goodwin’s most notable achievement as an author was her book “GG Cleans House,” which received much acclaim, including an invitation to the prestigious Frankfurt Book Fair in 2023 and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy in 2025. She also received several accolades for “GG Clean House,” including a Family Choice Awards Gold Award and a Mom’s Choice Awards Silver Award.
Ms. Tyer-Goodwin spent her early career in engineering, beginning at BP in Louisiana, Texas, as a drilling, production and reservoir engineer supervisor from 1984 to 1988. The foundation role led her to serve as a senior engineer and business manager at TYMCO Oil Company in Tyler, Texas, between 1988 and 1990 before founding TP Exploration Inc. in Tyler in 1991. Over the next three decades, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin specialized in federal leases in the Northwest U.S., conducting geological surveys, bidding on leases, and maintaining them until drilling was feasible. Besides oil and gas, Mr. Tyer-Goodwin became involved in civil engineering and building water and wastewater treatment systems in East Texas. In addition to managing TP Exploration Inc., she held positions with Burton Engineering Associates Inc. and CP&Y Inc. Ms. Tyer-Goodwin was honored with an Aggie Women Legacy Award from Texas A&M University for her pioneering work in offshore drilling.
Grateful for her diverse experience and accomplishments, Ms. Tyer-Goodwin is fully focused on encouraging children to enjoy books, touch the pages, and discuss what they see and learn. She believes books are the positive path to giving children a great start in life.
Ms. Tyer-Goodwin remains steadfast about promoting her books by visiting schools, libraries and universities to host engaging read-aloud sessions. She is also enthusiastic about the evolution of her career in book publishing, aiming to continue growing her brand by making her GG Life Lessons Storybook Series into an animated educational television series.
