Heather Robinett, Director of Operations Strategy at AT&T, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in Telecommunications.

Ms. Robinett has established a distinguished career in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as the director of operations strategy at AT&T since 2020. Her journey with the company began in 2001 when she joined as an automation programmer in network operations. Over the years, Ms. Robinett has demonstrated her expertise in network operations efficiencies and optimization, which led to her promotion to area manager of network surveillance automation in 2007, a role she held for a decade. Her leadership and technical acumen were further recognized when she became the director of software architecture and systems engineering from 2017 to 2020.

Before being recruited by AT&T, Ms. Robinett honed her skills as a consulting network engineer and senior member of the technical staff at Savvis, an information technology services and consulting company based in Monroe, Louisiana, between 1997 and 2001. Among varying responsibilities, she was tasked with the oversight of over 300 Lucent ATM and frame relay switches globally.

Ms. Robinett’s early career included roles as an advanced product support operations engineer at Wiltel in Chesterfield, Missouri, from 1994 to 1997 and as a technical programmer co-op at Monsanto, also based in Chesterfield, between 1993 and 1994. These experiences laid a strong foundation for her subsequent achievements in the field.

In preparation for her future in this sector, Ms. Robinett’s academic background included earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Washington University in Saint Louis in 1995 and a master’s degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix in 2008. Her education has been instrumental in her ability to foster a nurturing environment where team members are encouraged to take ownership and reach their full potential.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Robinett is deeply committed to civic engagement and community service. She has been a board member for the Ferguson Youth Initiative since 2015 and was a councilwoman for Ward 2 in Ferguson, Missouri, from 2016 to 2025. Ms. Robinett’s passion for community development has also been evident through her leadership roles in local community gardens and her mentorship with the We Teach Science Foundation.

A talented writer, Mr. Robinett has contributed articles to the Huffington Post advocating for girls’ involvement in STEM fields. These articles include ‘4 Things I Tell My Kids About STEM (As Recalled by My First-Grader)’ and ‘How One Day Can Change the Game for Girls in STEM.’

Ms. Robinett received a Community Award from Earthdance Organic Teaching Farm in Ferguson in 2010. Her dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion was also recognized with several awards, including the National Diversity and Inclusion Award from AT&T in 2018. Moreover, Ms. Robinett has been featured in Forbes for her work on reskilling in STEM. The 2019 article is titled ‘How Reskilling in STEM Propelled This Woman into Politics.’

Committed to remaining actively involved in her community, Ms. Robinett intends to continue working with the Board of Commissioners and engaging with youth to help them stay on a positive path. Her vision for the town of Ferguson includes achieving compliance and fostering an environment where future generations can thrive.
