A journey with Microsoft that began in 2002. Ms. Harish was a support escalation engineer for SQL Server. She became a premier field engineer for the SQL Server from 2004 to 2008 and a premier field engineering manager between 2008 and 2014. During this period, she transitioned from an individual contributor to a managerial role, marking a pivotal moment in her career. Ms. Harish also excelled as a senior engineer of data platforms from 2014 to 2016 and briefly held the role of director of cloud solution architecture at Microsoft in 2020.
Among other noteworthy roles, Ms. Harish was the director of enterprise architecture and analytics at Revantage Corporate Services in Chicago from 2018 to 2019. Her career trajectory also included a tenure as the principal architect at United Airlines Inc. between 2017 and 2018, where she honed her skills in scaling data warehouse and reporting infrastructure.
Ms. Harish began her career at Lucent Technologies (now Alcatel-Lucent, ALE International, ALE USA Inc.) as a programmer in 1999. She was then acquired by Arizona State University as a web systems developer from 2000 to 2002.
Laying a strong foundation for her professional achievements, Ms. Harish earned a Bachelor of Engineering in computer science from the University of Madras in 2000 and a Master of Science in computer science from Arizona State University in 2002. These academic credentials have been instrumental in her ability to navigate complex technological landscapes and lead innovative projects.
In addition to her formal education, Ms. Harish has pursued several certifications that have further enhanced her leadership capabilities, completing the Science-Based Habits for Modern Leadership course in 2024 and the Leading Responsible AI in Organizations course through LinkedIn Learning in 2025. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident through these endeavors, complementing her technical expertise with strategic insights.
Beyond her professional commitments, Mrs. Harish is actively involved in civic-minded organizations. She has been a board member of APS Training Academy since 2019 and an English tutor with Chapter One since 2023. Her dedication to education was previously reflected in her work as an English tutor with TutorMate from 2014 to 2015 and as a creative writing volunteer at Gwendolyn Brooks Elementary School in 2016.
