Title: Vice President and Technical Director
Company: STS Turf
Location: Paso Robles, California, United States

Brad Snavely, vice president and technical director at STS Turf, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in the agricultural industry.

With years of experience to his credit, Mr. Snavely has carved a distinguished career in the turf industry. Since 2010, he has found much success as the vice president and technical director of STS Turf. Soon after joining STS Turf, his remarkable tenure was marked with a collaboration in 2011 with Dr. Salam Awada to develop turf-specific products. This partnership led to the establishment of a state-of-the-art production facility spanning 25,000 square feet, designed to meet the evolving needs of the turf industry. Mr. Snavely’s expertise in agricultural and sports turf markets, customer service, soil and water data, and comprehensive application protocols has been instrumental in his ongoing success.

Prior to his present positions, Mr. Snavely excelled as a manufacturing representative for Grigg Brothers, where he was responsible for developing the western United States market. His stellar contributions in this post included several formulations and the development of soil and water testing parameters. As a result, he became an expert in interpreting test results, working on challenging golf courses worldwide, including locations such as Dubai, China, Australia, New Zealand and throughout the United States. His expertise was sought after by clients to diagnose issues related to soil, water and grass on their courses.

Mr. Snavely’s storied career also includes a tenure as an agronomist for a water treatment company. During this time, he authored a white paper on water treatment, further solidifying his reputation as an expert in his field. His work extended beyond domestic borders as he collaborated with a professor in Bangladesh to co-author a comprehensive book on the region’s soil types.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Snavely initially pursued an education at Reedley College, from which he earned an Associate of Arts in general education. He ultimately concluded his studies at Fresno State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in radio and television. His academic background has contributed significantly to his ability to communicate effectively and network within the industry. Likewise, his formative years on a family farm instilled in him a strong work ethic and an appreciation for agriculture, which he later applied to his focus on turfgrass agronomy.

Throughout his career, Mr. Snavely has been recognized with several awards, including the Top Sales Award and Top Producing Representative distinction. He also won a speech contest early in his career, showcasing his communication skills. Additionally, he served as the lead sports writer for The Jungle Chant at Reedley College.

In his personal endeavors, Mr. Snavely is known for being more of a facilitator than a typical salesman, emphasizing communication over dictation. He enjoys music and values spending time with his family, including his children Sarah and Brad Jr., who are integral parts of his life.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Snavely aims to grow STS Turf into a globally recognized name in the sports turf industry through potential mergers and acquisitions. He is committed to leaving a lasting legacy by transforming what he built from the ground up into a household name while making the world a better place than he found it.
