A distinguished energy transition, cleantech and related infrastructure expert, Mr. Mauceri served McKinsey & Company as an expert engagement manager. He oversaw energy projects across the United States and globally, with a focus on North America and Europe, ensuring strategic alignment between McKinsey’s leadership, clients and on-ground teams. Mr. Mauceri demonstrated proven expertise in project management as he drove solutions forward, shaped strategic hypotheses and effectively managed his team to craft value-added recommendations.

Mr. Mauceri began his journey with McKinsey in 2021, first as a senior analyst and later as an associate. Upon joining the company, he made significant contributions to the energy transition practice. His early roles there marked a pivotal point in his career, allowing him to develop substantial expertise and hone his skills in managing complex projects while developing a robust network within the firm. Additionally, the experience afforded him the opportunity to positively impact a sector where he has since developed substantial expertise. Overall, Mr. Mauceri has addressed high-profile, complex problems in over 20 international engagements, collaborating with over 100 colleagues.

Before McKinsey, Mr. Mauceri was an associate at PwC Strategy&, formerly Booz & Co., from 2019 to 2021. An influential encounter with the director of the firm’s energy and sustainability practices in Milan reignited his early fascination with science, prompting him to pursue energy transition topics deeply tied to geopolitics and sustainable development. His tenure at PwC Strategy& emphasized practical learning and technical proficiency through immersive, hands-on experiences. Prior to this, he served as a capstone project consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank in 2019, gaining insights into international development projects.

Mr. Muaceri’s earlier career experiences include internships as a business analyst at Groupe Credit Agricole in Luxembourg, a boutique management consultancy, and KPMG Italy. Raised within an entrepreneurial family, he naturally engaged in ambitious pursuits early on, such as co-founding university-based initiatives, participating in international multicultural programs and volunteering in Southeast Asia.

Mr. Mauceri’s academic background has been instrumental in shaping his professional journey. He holds a Master of Arts in international relations and affairs and a Master of Science in international management from IE Business School, both earned in 2019. He was ranked in the top 5 percent of the class in both master’s programs and awarded with Beta Gamma Sigma membership. Before pursuing graduate-level studies, he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics and management from Luiss Guido Carli University in 2016. These academic achievements have provided him with a strong foundation for his career in international management.

Outside of his professional commitments, Mr. Mauceri is actively engaged in civic initiatives. He has been a volunteer program ambassador for GoEco since 2017, a volunteer sales assistant for Oxfam in 2012 and served as a program ambassador for the IE School of Global and Public Affairs from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, he mentors students from IE and LUISS universities and various international mentorship associations.

Mr. Mauceri’s numerous awards and recognitions further demonstrate his dedication to excellence, such as his inclusion on the dean’s list at the IE School of Business for both master’s programs. In 2016, he was named Outstanding Delegate in the National Model United Nations General Assembly and won the European Business and Economy Final Project that same year.

Mr. Mauceri attributes much of his professional success to the steadfast support of his family, notably his mother and his wife, the latter of whom serves with the United Nations Global Compact. He also attributes his resilience, informed decision-making, and alignment of career choices with personal values to these factors. Looking forward, he seeks to become a distinguished leader in the energy and sustainability sectors, driving impactful investments globally and further advancing mentorship as a core personal commitment.
