From 2018 to 2021, she worked as the director of public relations and communications at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she laid the groundwork for her subsequent communications capacities.

Ms. Fiance’s career trajectory includes a notable tenure as the director of publicity at the 92nd Street Y from 2017 to 2018. During this time, her work involved promoting cultural events and initiatives that resonated with diverse audiences. Ms. Fiance previously excelled as the director of cultural affairs and archives communications at Jazz at Lincoln Center from 2012 to 2017, where she played a key role in preserving and promoting jazz as an integral part of American culture.

Ms. Fiance’s earlier career was marked by a long-standing commitment to Jazz at Lincoln Center, where she served as director of public relations from 1996 to 2012, building the organization from a summer concert series into a global arts organization with the first ever home for jazz with the construction at Frederick P. Rose Hall at Columbus Circle in New York City. Her work merged her passion for the power of music to bring people together and build community, with her professional skills in communications. Ms. Fiance initially found success in public relations as an assistant to the director and program manager for the jazz department at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts from 1992 to 1996 after beginning her career as an account executive at Middleberg & Rosso Communications from 1990 to 1992.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Fiance earned a Bachelor of Science in communication and media studies from Boston University in 1990. This academic foundation has been instrumental in shaping her career, providing her with the necessary skills to excel in media relations and storytelling. She continually hones her skills through new technology and integration with emerging communication platforms including Meltwater.

Beyond her primary achievements, Ms. Fiance remains involved in civic-minded organizations as an advisory council member for several nonprofit community organizations in New York City. Her contributions have been recognized with accolades such as The PR Net Marcomms Most Influential Award in 2023. A member of the Public Relations Society of America, she continues to influence the field through her dedication and expertise.
