Ms. Wilson’s commitment to mentoring and fostering growth among her colleagues was evident in her establishment of the EN training program, which provided aspiring executive assistants with hands-on experience and significantly impacted the company’s workforce.
Ms. Wilson’s professional journey began in the restaurant industry at Gourmondo Catering from 2008 to 2016, where she honed her skills in customer service and event coordination. Concurrently, she served as a front desk receptionist at Denali Fitness in 2008, further developing her administrative and customer service capabilities. Ms. Wilson’s career trajectory took a significant turn when she joined W Seattle Hotel under Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. that same year, where she gained valuable experience in hospitality management.
In 2010, Ms. Wilson transitioned to Nordstrom as an administrative assistant in the men’s shoes buying offices, where she worked until 2011. She then advanced to the role of executive assistant to the fashion director at Nordstrom between 2011 and 2014, showcasing her ability to support high-level executives and manage complex schedules. Ms. Wilson’s subsequent role at Starbucks as a senior coordinator until 2016 further solidified her expertise in corporate environments.
Ms. Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising and hospitality business management from Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman, graduating in 2007. She also participated in a study abroad program focused on international global studies at the University of Canberra while working toward her undergraduate degree. Ms. Wilson’s academic achievements include being named to the National Dean’s List for WSU’s advertising program in both 2005 and 2006.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Wilson is actively involved in civic organizations, such as Friends of Youth, a nonprofit that provides youth and young families with assistance as they navigate various challenging circumstances, including homelessness, foster care and behavioral health issues. She also supports Red Cross Youth and Orphan Acres, where she has volunteered for many years, and is committed to environmental preservation through her involvement with Nature Nurseries. Additionally, Ms. Wilson supports various medical and educational causes through donations and has been an active member of the WSU Alumni Association since 2007.
Ms. Wilson attributes her success to the guidance and support of her former mentors. Looking ahead, she envisions expanding her team and strengthening her management expertise, while aspiring to establish her own consulting business.
