Mr. Cadenhead’s professional journey reflects more than three decades of expertise and leadership in maintenance engineering and property management. His career began in the construction industry, influenced by his family’s longstanding involvement in the field. Early exposure to construction through his father’s business laid a strong foundation for Mr. Cadenhead’s technical acumen and work ethic, resulting in remarkable success throughout the years.
Having joined Dynamic Mechanical Solutions in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas, in 2021, Mr. Cadenhead serves as an account manager. The company’s owner recruited him to help grow the business, leveraging his extensive background in commercial property management and engineering to support the business’s progress.
In addition to his role at Dynamic Mechanical Solutions, Mr. Cadenhead became the owner of Bogeys and Stogies in Granbury, Texas, in 2021. Serving individual customers, as well as restaurants, pubs, wineries, hunting lodges, golf courses and other types of commercial clients, his company sells premium cigars to the public. Focusing heavily on quality products and premier customer service, Mr. Cadenhead’s goal is to expand the business as a family enterprise, with a vision to pass it on to his son in the future.
Mr. Cadenhead’s extensive career background previously included the position of senior chief engineer at Sooner National Property Management LP from 2015 to 2021. One of his most distinguished achievements was his tenure as the director of facility management at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas between 2012 and 2015. This role represented a career pinnacle, allowing him to contribute to the design and completion of the museum’s construction, implement advanced security protocols and oversee high-end HVAC systems. Notably, Mr. Cadenhead was allowed to participate in the excavation of a dinosaur in Southeast Texas, where he had the opportunity to demonstrate his multifaceted expertise and passion for integrating engineering with scientific discovery.
From 2007 to 2015, Mr. Cadenhead served as an engineering manager for Hillwood at Victory Park in Dallas. There, he managed the grounds, which included security management, license agreements for events, and the maintenance of roads, the grounds, the park, lighting and landscaping. Earlier, Mr. Cadenhead excelled as a sales engineer for Johnson Controls at the company’s Irving, Texas, branch between 2006 and 2007, where he focused on the sales and design of energy management systems and equipment for new construction and renovation projects. Among other notable roles, he served as a senior chief engineer at Transwestern Commercial Services in Houston, Texas, from 1999 to 2005, and as an engineering manager at ITT Sheraton in Dallas between 1995 and 1999.
Mr. Cadenhead’s educational background included coursework toward an associate degree in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration at Eastfield Community College. His commitment to professional development was further demonstrated by several designations. He is recognized as a certified institutional protection manager by the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection and an accredited executive in engineering operations by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Additionally, Mr. Cadenhead holds credentials as a systems maintenance administrator and a systems maintenance technician from the Building Owners and Managers Institute.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cadenhead has maintained active membership in several industry organizations that have supported his professional growth and network. He has been involved with the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Dallas and Business Owners and Managers Association International for over 30 years. Since 2013, he has also served as the director of membership for the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection. Furthermore, Mr. Cadenhead remains active with the International Facility Management Association, the U.S. Green Building Council USGBC, IREM, and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Cadenhead is dedicated to civic engagement. Since 2012, he has volunteered annually with Nicaragua Missions through the International Mission Board. He also contributes time to the Historic Granbury Merchants Association and supports initiatives through his local chamber of commerce.
Mr. Cadenhead is committed to preparing for retirement while expanding Dynamic Mechanical Solutions and developing Bogeys and Stogies as a legacy business for his son. He attributes much of his success to the influence of his father-in-law, who served as a role model for him. Mr. Cadenhead’s enduring dedication to excellence, innovation and service has established him as a respected leader within his field, recognized for both professional achievement and community involvement.
