Before founding Hoop Cares LLC, Ms. Hoop contributed her expertise in business development at Anchored Heart in 2021. She also served as a community liaison and marketing professional at Solace Hospice from 2019 to 2021, where she fostered relationships within the health care sector and promoted essential hospice services. Between 2017 and 2019, Ms. Hoop held the same title at Southern Hearts Hospice, where she focused her work on outreach and advocacy for patients and their families navigating end-of-life care.

Before pivoting into the caregiving sector, Ms. Hoop garnered significant experience in marketing and sales. She was an account executive at Toshiba Business Solutions on the Mississippi Gulf Coast from 2014 to 2017. Her previous tenure at ServPro of Biloxi/Gulfport/Ocean Springs/Pascagoula spanned more than five years, beginning in 2009 as a marketing representative before advancing to marketing manager from 2013 to 2014. Among other foundational roles, Ms. Hoop held sales and account executive positions with companies like Compaq and Nissan.

Ms. Hoop’s academic background included earning a Bachelor of Arts in general business management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1989. She further enhanced her entrepreneurial skills by completing the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program certification in 2024.

Beyond her business endeavors, Ms. Hoop has been actively involved in numerous civic activities. She has served as the treasurer on the board of directors for Adult & Teen Challenge for Women in Mississippi since 2017 and in the same capacity for Teen Challenge of Mississippi for Women since 2018. Among her previous engagements, she is a past president of the Mental Health Association of South Mississippi. Ms. Hoop also enjoys giving back, supporting annual fundraising events for mental health groups and volunteering within her local community.

A prolific author, Ms. Hoop has written multiple publications focused on caregiving, faith and personal growth. Her works include “There’s Hope: Breaking Invisible Chains,” “Live Your Faith Out Loud: Real-life Stories Compelling You to do More!” (Volumes 1 and 3), “Clinging to the Vine: Stories to Help You Draw Closer to the Lord,” “Out of the Ashes: We Will Rise,” “Unexpected Blessings: Finding Joy” and “Let Me Tell You About My Savior: Stories of Salvation, Miracles, and Unshakable Faith,” among many others. Notably, Ms. Hoop has been recognized as a multi-time number one international bestselling author, achieving this distinction over 15 times.

Ms. Hoop credits her success primarily to her faith, which guides every aspect of her life and work. Her early experiences caring for her mother at the age of 10 instilled in her resilience and compassion that have shaped her approach to caregiving services today.

Widely recognized for her numerous awards, Ms. Hoop received her first accolade in 2012 with recognition as the American Business Woman Association’s American Business Woman of the Year in Gulfport, Mississippi. More recently, she received Best Small Woman-Owned Business in Moss Point by Gulf Coast Woman Magazine in 2024, Best of Mississippi Hall of Fame in 2025, and Best of Coastal Mississippi Home Care in 2025.

Looking ahead, Ms. Hoop is focused on expanding her impact within the caregiving field. She has opened a personal care home designed for four residents, providing round-the-clock non-medical care. Construction is nearly complete, with two residents currently accommodated. Ms. Hoop’s vision includes maintaining this home’s operations while establishing an adult daycare center locally. Additionally, she aims to create communities comprised of tiny homes dedicated to individuals requiring personal care.
