Since early 2024, he has served as the national sales director at Goo Goo Cluster candy company in Nashville, Tennessee. In this capacity, Mr. Dillard manages brokers, wholesalers and retailers nationally and plays an integral role in customer development to secure distribution and promotional opportunities. He is also responsible for reviewing sales data and developing innovative ideas for new customer offerings, drawing on his extensive industry knowledge to adapt seamlessly to evolving market demands.

Before being recruited to Goo Goo Cluster, Mr. Dillard served as the director of development at Goodpasture Christian School in Madison, Tennessee from 2019 to 2023. His contributions significantly increased the school’s fundraising efforts, elevating annual contributions from $250,000 to over $1 million annually utilizing annual giving along with producing new revenue streams for the school. His strategic approach and commitment to relationship-building were instrumental in achieving these results.

Between 2015 and 2019, Mr. Dillard excelled as the director of sales at Campofrio Food Group in South Chesterfield, Virginia. In this role, he refined his skills in sales management and client relations, contributing to the company’s growth and expanding its market presence. Mr. Dillard’s formative experience as a clerk at H.G. Hill grocery store in Madison, Tennessee sparked his passion for the grocery and food business, laying the foundation for his future achievements across various manufacturers and brokers.

Mr. Dillard’s professional journey has been complemented by several other notable accomplishments outside the traditional business sphere. His dedication to youth included serving as the president and coach for the Madison Titans Football, coaching for Little League International and Babe Ruth Baseball League Inc., while working in administrative capacities for the various sports leagues, reflecting his commitment to youth development and community engagement. Some of his fondest sports memories are from when he served as a college and high school basketball official. He refereed for over 30 years and was selected numerous times to work college basketball playoff games and was twice selected to officiate the Tennessee High School State Tournament finals.

In preparation for his future, Mr. Dillard earned an associate’s degree from Volunteer State Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in marketing from Almeda University. He also completed a certificate program in public policy at Vanderbilt University. These academic achievements provided Mr. Dillard with a strong foundation in business principles and public affairs that have supported his professional success.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Dillard has been actively involved with several civic organizations. He was a server for Meals on Wheels America, volunteer for Room in the Inn, a mentor for First Tee Nashville, a volunteer with a church recovery group and golf coach at Goodpasture Christian School. Furthermore, Mr. Dillard served as a two term voter elected councilmember on the Metropolitan Nashville & Davidson County City Council from 1995 to 2003, where he focused on public schools, parks expansion, youth initiatives and public safety.

Mr. Dillard’s contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including honors from college basketball officials’ associations and Middle Tennessee basketball associations. He was also named as the Referee of the Year for high school basketball and was inducted into the High School Hall of Fame by Metro Nashville Schools for his combined service as an elected official and referee.

By focusing on integrity, keeping promises, and forming strong relationships, Mr. Dillard has been able to continuously excel across diverse roles and industries. Looking ahead, he is committed to rebuilding Goo Goo Cluster’s brand legacy while ensuring its long-term sustainability. He also intends to enjoy and support his family where he has a daughter and son along with three beautiful granddaughters.
