First hired by CCC Group Inc. in 2013, Mr. Lashley began his tenure as an estimator for the company’s Suriname division in South America, before being named an equipment manager and supervisor, working closely with bauxite companies like Alcoa. As CCC Group Inc. expanded beyond the bauxite sector and secured contracts with oil and gas companies in South America, he played a pivotal role in estimating and managing equipment acquisitions. Recognizing the need for a dedicated equipment division, Mr. Lashley established the division in Suriname in 2015, setting up the shop and implementing all necessary processes. His expertise in equipment management and lifecycle oversight was critical to the division’s success and growth.
From 2020 to 2023, Mr. Lashley held the position of equipment director at CCC Group Inc. During this period, he was responsible for overseeing the entire equipment division. He implemented advanced maintenance programs and introduced a safe driving initiative that drastically reduced driving incidents within the company. Mr. Lashley’s efforts led to over 98% of the company’s drivers maintaining safe driving records, a remarkable improvement that earned him the 2024 Fleet Safety Award.
Before joining CCC Group Inc., Mr. Lashley worked as a mechanical engineer for the government of Suriname for two years. In this role, he supported remote communities by building essential structures, such as shops and schools, and developed systems to efficiently coordinate the delivery of construction materials. Mr. Lashley also taught maintenance techniques and developed a Computerized Maintenance Management System using Microsoft Access, demonstrating his proficiency in programming and data analysis.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Lashley spent two years at a local data center in Suriname, where he honed his skills in data analytics and advanced data processing. These foundational experiences contributed to his expertise and versatility in the equipment industry.
Mr. Lashley’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering from Polytechnic College in Suriname. His commitment to professional development is reflected in his numerous credentials, including a Six Sigma black belt certification from the International Six Sigma Institute, certification as an equipment manager from AEMP Equipment Management University, certification as an equipment management specialist from the Association of Equipment Management Professionals, project management professional certification from Simplilearn, and, among other designations, recognition as a JLG certified instructor for Telehandler and AWP from JLG Industries. Notably, Mr. Lashley became the first individual in South America to obtain the certified equipment manager credential in 2019, underscoring his pioneering spirit and dedication to advancing industry standards.
Throughout his career, Mr. Lashley has been an active member of the Association of Equipment Management Professionals since 2018, serving on the training committee and contributing to the update of training materials to reflect technological advancements. He has also shared his expertise as a speaker at AEMP conferences, offering insights on reducing fuel consumption and maximizing equipment performance.
Mr. Lashley’s commitment to community service is evident through his involvement in various charitable initiatives, such as participating in annual golf tournaments hosted by CCC Group Inc., with proceeds benefiting orphanages and other needy organizations. Through the CCC Group Foundation, he has helped foster a culture of giving back and supporting those in need.
