Danniel Worthen Cullumber, LCSW, chief executive officer and founder of Willow Medela Wellness LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in social work.

Ms. Worthen Cullumber has built up her career for over 15 years, although she did not start in social work. Her stepmother was a nurse who wrote the handbook for training certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in Salt Lake City. Inspired by this, Ms. Worthen Cullumber initially wanted to become a doctor, but she struggled in college due to undiagnosed dyslexia and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She then pursued training as a CNA that was cut short due to an injury. However, she discovered an appreciation for hands-on care.

After spending time as a habilitation therapist working with special needs adults and transitioning into recreational therapy, Ms. Worthen Cullumber finally shifted toward social work. This chapter of her professional journey started with an internship at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Utah in 2009 and another at the Utah Department of Health & Human Services’ Division of Child and Family Services in 2011. Ms. Worthen Cullumber’s first full-time position in this space was as a youth crisis manager at Valley Mental Health, where she worked with patients ages 8 to 17 in Tooele County, Utah, and ran youth groups. She later contributed to Hopeful Beginnings, RISE Services Inc., and a second tenure with the Utah Department of Health & Human Services.

In 2019, Ms. Worthen Cullumber tragically lost four family members in just nine months, and the following year, she experienced a personal assault, which led to a lengthy legal process that progressed all the way to the Utah Supreme Court. Her journey of navigating and healing the trauma from these events has deeply informed her compassionate approach to her work. Ms. Worthen Cullumber’s first role as a clinical therapist was with the Multicultural Counseling Center, followed by Eva Carlston Academy and Phoenix Rebellion Therapy. She also worked as the primary behavioral health therapist with Granite Wellness Center for the largest school district in Salt Lake City, through which she services to over 1,200 patients at any given school year. Granite Wellness Center is a wellness center through Premise Health that provides over 80 clinics around the United States and Guam, including major clients like Google and Disney.

In 2025, Ms. Worthen Cullumber founded her own practice, Willow Medela Wellness, where she serves as a holistic trauma therapist and chief executive officer. Through this organization, she offers a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to mental health, matching traditional clinical therapy with holistic practices like meditation, breath work and specialized retreats. In addition to working directly with clients, Ms. Worthen Cullumber oversees the logistical and legal aspects of the company. She also heads up public relations and marketing efforts, regularly booking interviews for magazines and podcasts to improve the company’s reach.

Throughout her career, Ms. Worthen Cullumber has consistently sought to improve herself through continued education, beginning with an Associate of Science in social work from Salt Lake Community College. Following that, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Utah in 2012. Subsequently, Ms. Worthen Cullumber earned a Master of Social Work from the University of New England in 2020. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in social work at Simmons University.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Worthen Cullumber is a dedicated wife and a loving mother to four adult children, aged 19 to 27. She finds fulfillment through such hobbies as reading and exploring her interest in paranormal research. Alongside finishing her doctorate, Ms. Worthen Cullumber looks forward to building on the strong foundation she has set for Willow Medela Wellness. Above all else, she seeks to help people in bridging the gap between their mental health and greater well-being through careful, trauma-informed care.
