Mr. Rabinowitz has built a reputation in spiritual care and community support, marked by his leadership as the co-founder and director of Keep Climbing since 2023. In this capacity, he has focused on addressing the unique cultural and medical needs of Jewish families, providing comprehensive support that includes connecting individuals with essential resources, managing seven specialized support groups tailored to various life stages, and facilitating advocacy and medical referrals.

Based in Maryland, Keep Climbing is an international organization that provides services to support individuals with the various medical and emotional challenges of living with Under Mr. Rabinowitz’s direction, Keep Climbing has established a free loan medical equipment facility in multiple cities to assist travelers in need, conducted educational webinars with leading physicians, and organized weekend retreats for families to foster connection and mutual support. He also provides emotional and spiritual guidance to individuals facing end-of-life situations, assists families in making difficult decisions, and ensures effective communication between hospital staff and patients’ rabbis to address religious needs. Moreover, Mr. Rabinowitz leads educational initiatives for health care teams on the diverse religious practices within the Jewish community, advocates for patients during holidays by organizing services, and offers compassionate presence by listening to personal stories.

In addition to his work at Keep Climbing, Mr. Rabinowitz has served as a Jewish chaplain at The Johns Hopkins Hospital since 2021. In this position, he provides spiritual care to patients and their families, ensuring their cultural and religious needs are met within the hospital setting. Earlier that year, Mr. Rabinowitz served as the interim Jewish chaplain at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. His tenure at the medical facility began in 2019 as a chaplain intern, followed by a residency from 2020 to 2021. These early opportunities deepened his expertise in clinical pastoral care through hands-on experience with diverse patient populations.

Mr. Rabinowitz’s academic background includes a 2015 bachelor’s degree and a 2019 master’s degree in Torah law from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed clinical pastoral education at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Mr. Rabinowitz’s formal training is further supported by board certification as a chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains, awarded in 2025.

Active professionally, Mr. Rabinowitz is a member of the Association of Professional Chaplains and the Board of Chaplaincy Certification Inc., reflecting his commitment to professional standards in chaplaincy. Additionally, he has contributed extensively to academic research as a co-author of a research article published in the Journal of Palliative Care that explores Jewish ethical needs at the end of life. Mr. Rabinowitz has also served as a volunteer with several civic organizations, including Bikur Cholim of Baltimore, Bonei Olam, A TIME and Chai Lifeline.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Rabinowitz has been recognized for his contributions with features in Mishpacha Magazine and Ami Magazine. He attributes his success to his ability to listen attentively, create an environment where patients and families feel comfortable sharing their experiences, and discern when to offer guidance or provide a supportive presence.

Notably, both Mr. Rabinowitz and his wife live with a congenital spinal cord injury. Inspired by the recognition of the need for greater support among young parents facing similar challenges, he ultimately established Keep Climbing to demonstrate that such conditions do not preclude a fulfilling life. Looking ahead, Mr. Rabinowitz is committed to expanding Keep Climbing’s reach while continuing his vital work in chaplaincy, aiming to provide meaningful support to families navigating complex medical and spiritual challenges within the community.
