Hired by Westinghouse Electric Company in 2023, Ms. Muse first served as a principal project manager for major projects, instruments and control. In this role, she led high-impact initiatives and advanced critical nuclear technology projects.
Ms. Muse’s earlier tenure at ABB, a technology leader in electrification and automation, from 2018 to 2023 as a senior project manager, involved overseeing large-scale engineering projects totaling a $100M portfolio. She also excelled at General Electric (GE), beginning in 2011 as a program manager for lessons learned and operating experience, then as a project leader in 2014, and as a project leader for productivity from 2016 to 2017.
Among other influential roles, Ms. Muse worked at Granite Services Inc. as a service coordinator, then as a lead nuclear project controls analyst between 2008 and 20011. Her professional journey also encompassed experience as a network planning supervisor at UPS Supply Chain Solutions from 2005 to 2006, a business services analyst at DHL between 2004 and 2005, a business development manager at Worldwide Express from 2002 to 2004, and an asset management specialist at Inacom Information Systems between 1997 and 2001.
Ms. Muse’s academic background has been foundational to her achievements. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in management and operations from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, completed in 1994, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, in 2019. Ms. Muse’s commitment to continuous learning has also included numerous certifications, including project management certification in 2018 and a master’s certificate in leadership in 2019 from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, and credentials in earned value management from PMCentersUSA in 2025. Ms. Muse is currently pursuing a program management certificate, further demonstrating her dedication to professional growth.
Throughout her career, Ms. Muse has been an active member of several industry organizations, including the Project Management Institute, Women in Nuclear and North America Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN). These affiliations have provided her with valuable opportunities for professional development and networking. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Muse is deeply involved in civic activities. She serves on the North Carolina Azalea Festival committee, as treasurer of the Cape Fear Elementary Parent Teacher Organization, and as a volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
Ms. Muse’s dedication has been recognized through numerous awards over the past 25 years, beginning with a Star Award for Outstanding Performance from Inacom Information Systems in 2000. More recently, she was honored to receive a Collaboration Award for Outstanding Teamwork from ABB ELSE in 2021 and a Teamwork & Accountability PowerUP Award USA in 2024. Ms. Muse credits much of her success to the unwavering support of her husband, whose encouragement has been essential throughout her journey. She also acknowledges the influence of several mentors who have guided her development as a leader committed to accountability, responsibility and exceeding expectations through action rather than title.
Looking ahead, Ms. Muse aspires for her name to be synonymous with generosity and exemplary leadership by example. Her future ambitions include advancing to director-level positions where she can share knowledge broadly, support others’ growth, and continue the legacy of mentorship that has defined her career trajectory.
