Dr. Bhattiprolu has established himself at the intersection of technology and telecommunications, marked by progressive leadership roles and significant contributions to advancing cloud, network and security services. Since 2023, he has served as the vice president of cloud and network services at Nokia. He also assumed the role of vice president and global head of pre-sales and advanced consulting services at Nokia in 2025.
Among his many responsibilities, Dr. Bhattiprolu is tasked with conceptualizing and planning the architecture for new pipelines, setting and achieving key performance indicators, ensuring his team is equipped with the necessary tools and expertise, and managing executive relationships. In this capacity, Dr. Bhattiprolu oversees a team that generates $2.5 billion in revenue for Nokia’s software organization, operating within an infrastructure-agnostic, network-agnostic and multivendor environment. He is also engaged in envisioning future architectures and offerings, maintaining open communication with direct reports and superiors, executing strategic activities and articulating future plans.
Earlier, Dr. Bhattiprolu served as the global head of pre-sales and advanced consulting services at Nokia from 2020 to 2025, leading teams that delivered advanced solutions to clients worldwide. His tenure with the organization began in 2018, when he was hired as a senior director of solutions and services for Asia Pacific and Japan. Those two years were characterized by Dr. Bhattiporlu’s leadership in systems integration, technical consulting and value modeling across diverse markets.
Before joining Nokia, Dr. Bhattiprolu was the director of service channels for Asia-Pacific at F5 Networks (now F5 Inc.), a global leader in delivering and securing applications, in Singapore from 2016 to 2018. Between 2014 and 2016, he was a consulting director at Oracle in Singapore, following his role as a senior manager for Oracle’s communications global business unit, where he led sales efforts for communications solutions between 2010 and 2014.
Dr. Bhattiprolu served as a lead consultant for telecommunication presales and regional presales head at Mahindra Satyam (now Tech Mahindra Limited) from 2002 to 2010. He played a pivotal role in driving presales strategies for telecommunications clients across multiple geographies. Dr. Bhattiprolu’s professional journey began shortly before that, when he served as an assistant consultant at Polaris Software Lab (now Virtusa Corp.) between 2000 and 2002.
Highly educated, Dr. Bhattiprolu’s foundational studies included a Bachelor of Technology in instrumentation from Andhra University in 1996, followed by a Master of Business Administration and a postgraduate diploma in management with concentrations in finance and information systems from Xavier Institute of Management in 2000. From there, Dr. Bhattiprolu earned a Doctor of Business Administration in management from Edinburgh Napier University in 2022.
In addition to his formal education, Dr. Bhattiprolu earned a certificate in global business leadership from Universitas 21 in 2007. He further enhanced his credentials through numerous certifications from MIT Sloan School of Management, the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge, and the London Business School. Among other credentials, Dr. Bhattiprolu holds certifications as an information systems security professional and a certified cloud security professional from ISACA, a project management professional from the Project Management Institute, and a certified information security manager from ISACA.
Dr. Bhattiprolu’s professional affiliations include membership in the Sunnyvale chapters of ISACA, TiE Global and the Project Management Institute, reflecting his commitment to industry engagement and continuous learning. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he is dedicated to civic engagement as a startup mentor with the Israel-Palestinian Confederation. Dr. Bhattiprolu also actively participates in philanthropic initiatives, including fundraising, and volunteers with local temples to support community welfare projects.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bhattiprolu has developed deep expertise in pre-sales, systems integration, fifth-generation wireless technology (5G), cloud technologies and security, as well as value modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence and more. He has also received global recognition for his work in the security space through publications and presentations at public forums.
In light of his achievements, Dr. Bhattiprolu has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Best Consulting Sales Leader by GBCS Oracle in 2014, Consulting Sales Representative of the Year by the Oracle Club Excellence Awards in 2014, and the Best Presenter Award at the RSA Asia Pacific and Japan Conference by RSA Conference LLC in Singapore in 2019. He also received multiple Best Performer and Best Employee Awards from Nokia. Dr. Bhattiprolu attributes his success to his emotional quotient, meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to continuously learn.
Looking ahead, Dr. Bhattiprolu intends to play a significant role in the security industry as an expert and thought leader, contributing to its growth, especially in critical infrastructure sectors. He aims to lead security-focused organizations while making a substantial impact on industry value creation. Additionally, Dr. Bhattiprolu seeks to engage more deeply in community work by teaching others, particularly non-technical managers, about cybersecurity concepts to raise awareness across all age groups and make security more accessible to everyone.
