Jason R. Smith, Director of Health Care Operations at Precision Diagnostics, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements and leadership in Health Care Management.

Mr. Smith, an expert in health care management, has served as the director of health care operations at Precision Diagnostics, a laboratory lauded for investing in the most advanced, ultra-high sensitivity LC-MS/MS technology for clinical urine and oral fluid drug testing, and the only of its kind in the United States. Since 2025, Mr. Smith has been overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of health care delivery in a remote capacity, ensuring high standards of patient care and organizational efficiency. His leadership is marked by a commitment to innovative management practices and to implementing out-of-the-box solutions, reflecting his expertise in both management and creative problem-solving.

Before his current position, Mr. Smith served as the director of health care operations for the East Division at Precision Diagnostics in Tampa Bay, Florida, from 2024 to 2025. During this period, he managed multisite operations across a broad geographic area, optimizing workflows and fostering collaboration among diverse teams. Early in 2024, Mr. Smith served as a health care operations manager for Precision Diagnostics. He played a pivotal role in streamlining processes and enhancing patient care protocols, drawing on his extensive background in emergency medical services and health care management.

Recruited from DispatchHealth, a home health care service, Mr. Smith served as a market manager from 2021 to 2024, leading regional teams to deliver mobile health care services, expand access to urgent care and improve patient outcomes. He initially worked as an emergency medical technician for DispatchHealth from 2020 to 2021. In this frontline role, Mr. Smith provided critical pre-hospital care to patients in need, demonstrating clinical expertise and compassion under pressure.

Between 2017 and 2019, Mr. Smith briefly worked as a project manager at Rose Paving LLC, a paving contractor in Tampa. For two years, he managed complex projects from inception to completion, coordinating resources and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

From 2015 to 2017, Mr. Smith served as a remote paramedic with Global Rescue LLC in Ukraine. He delivered emergency medical support in challenging environments, often under austere conditions that required adaptability and advanced clinical skills. Mr. Smith’s international experience also included serving as a special operations Kandak medical mentor with OT Training Solutions in Lashkargah, Afghanistan, between 2012 and 2014. In this role, he trained Afghan special operations forces in advanced medical procedures and combat casualty care, directly contributing to mission readiness and local capacity-building.

Among his earlier positions, Mr. Smith was a detainee operations medical mentor with DynCorp International in Kabul, Afghanistan, from 2010 to 2011. He also succeeded in a similar role as a detainee operations medical mentor for L3 Technologies in Kabul between 2009 and 2010.

Mr. Smith’s distinguished military career spanned 10 years. He began as a network switching systems operator in the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2002. He completed the rigorous special forces qualification course between 2002 and 2004, then served as a special forces medical sergeant from 2004 to 2009. During his tenure as a Special Forces medical sergeant, Mr. Smith honorably completed three combat deployments, during which he personally treated several hundred individuals and provided critical care.

Nearly a decade after his military service, Mr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Campbell University in 2018. He also completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 2024. Mr. Smith’s educational background has been instrumental in shaping his approach to leadership and patient care, equipping him with advanced knowledge of business administration and human behavior.

Throughout his career, Mr. Smith has credited his success to the guidance and mentorship he received from colleagues and leaders who influenced his professional journey. This appreciation for mentorship has inspired him to give back by supporting others’ growth within the field. Looking ahead, Mr. Smith aims to start his own business and become his own boss. His success thus far is due in part to his steadfast dedication to service, innovation and leadership across military, international humanitarian and domestic health care settings, and to his commitment to excellence, which continues to shape his contributions to health care operations management.
