Mr. Gully currently serves as a global chief product and solutions officer at Deloitte in McLean, Virginia, where he oversees the development and execution of artificial intelligence (AI) driven product strategies and global solutions. In this capacity, he is responsible for shaping the firm’s approach to leveraging advanced technologies to deliver innovative offerings across international markets.
Before joining Deloitte in 2025, Mr. Gully held several prominent leadership roles at Accenture. From 2024 to 2025, he served as a global chief technology officer for Accenture Products and Platforms and as an agentic AI business lead.
Between 2022 and 2025, Mr. Gully served as a chief information officer at Mortgage Cadence, an Accenture company. In this role, he was tasked with revitalizing a struggling mortgage business that was both underperforming and overpriced. Through strategic leadership, he successfully moved approximately 400 employees offshore, significantly improving operational quality and reducing costs. Mr. Gully’s efforts rendered the business viable for sale, culminating in its successful acquisition.
Earlier, Mr. Gully excelled as a chief technology officer at Accenture Life & Annuity (ALIP) for more than a decade, from 2013 to 2024, where he oversaw the development of cutting-edge insurance technology solutions. His tenure was marked by the deployment of innovative platforms that enhanced client service delivery and operational efficiency.
Mr. Gully was also employed by Sapiens International as a chief architect for U.S. operations from 2012 to 2013. His role involved leading architectural strategy for mission-critical software systems. The previous year, Mr. Gully served as the chief technology officer at Distribution Technology, focusing on digital transformation initiatives within the financial services sector between 2011 and 2012.
Mr. Gully’s earlier career included significant roles at FIS in the U.K. and internationally, starting in 2004 as the head of development for the U.K. He continued to advance, serving in several other capacities, including as a chief technology officer, where he implemented software solutions globally, including pioneering work on low-code/no-code platforms before they became widely adopted. Ultimately, Mr. Gully served as an information technology consultant and program director at FIS from 2010 to 2011.
During his tenure at FIS, Mr. Gully simultaneously held the title of head of operations at Spectrum Motion Media in the U.K. in 2010. Additionally, he held a brief but distinguished tenure in corrections for over two years, during which he rapidly rose to the position of deputy superintendent at a juvenile detention center.
Mr. Gully’s academic background included a diploma in programming technology from the Computer Power Training Institute in Australia in 1992. He also completed psychology coursework at the University of South Australia.
In addition to his corporate achievements, Mr. Gully has made significant contributions through civic engagement and athletic pursuits. He has been a coach with the Loudoun Rugby Football Club in Virginia since 2022 and previously coached minis at Bath Rugby in London. Notably, throughout his youth, Mr. Gully excelled in multiple sports. He also owned several gyms in Australia, where he hosted the first-ever Northern Territory Bodybuilding Titles and an Australian Powerlifting Title event.
Mr. Gully’s thought leadership is reflected through his publications, including “The Mobile Future of Life and Annuity Applications,” published on LinkedIn in 2015, and “3 Stages of Evolution in the AI SDLC,” published on LinkedIn in 2026. Among his many other professional achievements, he designed a life insurance quotation system deployed on Nokia mobile phones, an innovation widely recognized as ahead of its time.
Mr. Gully’s success has been recognized numerous times, including during his tenure as FIS’s chief technology officer. For his outstanding service, he received a commendation letter from the Northern Territory’s Secretary of State.
Looking ahead, Mr. Gully aims to reinvent Deloitte’s software development life cycle with an ambitious strategy designed to reduce costs while enhancing service quality for customers through Horizon 2030. He also plans to join several boards following this initiative. Mr. Gully hopes to visit universities to share insights with students pursuing careers in information technology, helping them navigate industry challenges and achieve success while giving back to the community that has supported him throughout his journey.
