Ms. Bressack’s career is distinguished by her extensive experience in both large health systems and smaller nonprofit organizations. Her journey began with a formative internship at the Treatment Action Campaign in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2003, where she contributed to initiatives combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic. This experience solidified her commitment to the health care and nonprofit sectors. Upon returning to the U.S., Ms. Bressack joined Henry Ford Health in the Detroit Metropolitan area of Michigan as a senior analyst in 2004.

Over the next two decades, Ms. Bressack ascended through various roles, including consultant and senior consultant in organizational development, manager of leadership development, and director of planning and certificate of need strategy. Her tenure at Henry Ford Health culminated as vice president of strategy and planning from 2019 to 2024. During this time, Ms. Bressack implemented a multiyear strategic plan that became embedded in the organizational culture.

In 2024, Ms. Bressack transitioned to Volunteers of America Michigan, also in Detroit, as its chief operating officer. There, she led divisions in veteran social services, health care, and affordable housing while overseeing compliance and quality operations. Ms. Bressack’s efforts included modernizing infrastructure with electronic health records systems and developing performance dashboards for accountability.

Pivoting on her own, Ms. Bressack founded The Strategy Impact Collective in 2026 to focus on consulting for nonprofits. Her work involves developing strategic plans and establishing accountability structures while providing leadership coaching. Ms. Bressack’s ability to provide her expertise is a culmination of decades of hard work and expertise in her field. She is especially passionate about assisting nonprofits, particularly in today’s challenging environment where funding and support may be diminishing. Her focus on navigating these changes gives Ms. Bressack a notable advantage in her work.

Ms. Bressack’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a master’s degree in health services administration in 2004 from the school of public health at the University of Michigan. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for her career success by equipping her with essential skills for strategic planning and execution.

Apart from her primary career goals, Ms. Bressack’s civic involvement has become notable. She has served as a board director for ACCESS since 2020 and as an executive officer and board development chair for Gesher Human Services since 2021. These roles reflect Ms. Bressack’s commitment to community service and align with her personal values instilled by her upbringing in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bressack has received several accolades, including both the AVA Platinum Award and the Aegis Video Award for training development in 2010, and the Great Workplace Award from Gallup Inc. in 2013. Looking ahead, she aims to continue making an impact within nonprofit health and human services organizations by focusing on strategy and transformation efforts that serve vulnerable communities effectively. Ms. Bressack aspires to reach a point where she receives an abundance of referrals, allowing her to spend minimal time on marketing and dedicating more of her time to working with organizations and making a meaningful impact on their success.
