With more than three decades of experience in software and strategy, Mr. Naegamvala has established himself as a distinguished leader in the technology sector. Since 2026, he has served as the senior vice president of product management at MetricStream, a global leader in governance, risk and compliance headquartered in San Jose, California. In this role, he has been instrumental in transforming internal software strategies and guiding the company. Mr. Naegamvala’s efforts have focused on product development and execution, as well as mentoring staff to foster a culture of growth and resilience.
Apart from serving in his leadership role at MetricStream, Mr. Naegamvala has been at the helm of Expanding Minds Inc. in the Greater Boston Area of Massachusetts since 2024 as the company’s owner.
Recognized as an umbrella organization, it encompasses several ventures, including operational schools under the Pincushion Hill brand, a real estate investment trust known as Proprietor Holdings, and a software company operating both domestically and in India.
Leading Expanding Minds Inc. as its president, Mr. Naegamvala collaborates closely with teams in India and manages the software aspects for the operational schools. The company was established to expand educational opportunities by integrating artificial intelligence-driven educational tools into both physical and virtual learning environments. Working alongside his wife Catherine, an educator deeply involved in Montessori education, Mr. Naegamvala has overseen the acquisition and development of schools while planning to extend their philanthropic reach internationally through nonprofit initiatives.
Mr. Naegamvala’s entrepreneurial journey began in earnest with the creation of Proprietor Services in 2010. Initially launched as a freelance consulting service after his departure from Lewtan (now Moody’s Analytics), Proprietor Services evolved into a cooperative providing technology solutions primarily to law firms and other clients who valued his expertise. The company was temporarily placed on hold during his earlier tenure at Moody’s Analytics but resumed activity with an expanded scope upon his return to independent business ownership.
From 2021 to 2025, Mr. Naegamvala held the position of senior director of product management at Moody’s Analytics Inc. in Waltham, Massachusetts. Prior to this role, he served as the director of product management after excelling as a product manager. Mr. Naegamvala’s earlier responsibilities included associate director and professional services manager, dating back to 2014. Throughout these years, he contributed significantly to the firm’s product development strategies and client engagement efforts.
Mr. Naegamvala initially worked at Lewtan (now Moody’s Analytics Inc.), where he began his career as a senior business analyst in 1997 after graduating from university. He quickly distinguished himself by rewriting the company’s core software platform. This milestone became closely associated with his name, and he advanced through roles such as implementation manager and director of systems implementation. Mr. Naegamvala’s leadership continued as the director of consulting services and senior director of sales before ultimately serving as the senior director of strategic products in 2012.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Naegamvala earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science and economics, cum laude, from the University of Maine in Orono in 1996. This comprehensive education provided him with both technical proficiency and analytical skills that have been foundational throughout his professional journey.
To complement his formal education, Mr. Naegamvala pursued various certifications in software and software management from renowned institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Cornell University. These credentials have enabled him to remain at the forefront of technological innovation and strategic planning within the industry.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Naegamvala is civically engaged as a volunteer with SPCA International Inc., reflecting his commitment to animal welfare on a global scale. He also supports various food drives, demonstrating a broader dedication to community service.
Throughout his career, Mr. Naegamvala has been recognized for his ability to execute complex projects and drive organizational turnaround efforts. He is especially proud of being regarded as a reliable figure for successfully bringing products to market over 30 years. Mr. Naegamvala’s transition from corporate executive roles to entrepreneurship marked a significant shift in objectives, moving from managing budgets within established organizations to building companies where people’s livelihoods depend on his leadership. Notably, his contributions have been acknowledged through various internal awards.
A key factor contributing to Mr. Naegamvala’s ongoing success is his mindset, an unwavering determination to achieve set goals combined with reliance on supportive people and infrastructure around him. Looking ahead, Mr. Naegamvala aims to grow Expanding Minds Inc. further by focusing exclusively on its development while stepping back from some other commitments. With regard to Metric Stream, he is currently assisting the company’s leadership team. However, he plans for future efforts to center on expanding educational outreach initiatives through both for-profit schools in the U.S. and nonprofit subsidiaries overseas, beginning with planned projects in India. Mr. Naegamvala’s career stands as a testament to adaptability, vision and steadfast commitment, qualities that continue to shape his legacy as an expert in software strategy and organizational leadership across multiple industries.
